Great campus. Quite beautiful in the summer.
i swear this uni if bias towards disabled people. one time, I told my mentor about a student's discriminating behaviour towards me and said to leave him alone. then after I was angry at his treatment, I got angry and got in trouble. But they gave me strikes but when i made a complaint against him, they said' where is the evidence?' they always treat American students like gods here. am a home student and he's a international student, so does that makes him more important than me? ALSO, both my Mentor and my counselor gave me the audacity to say,' Don't use Autism as and Exucse'-that's anti-ablism! I had to break off with my mentor and get a new one 'because she's toxic and even made me cry to forget about an idiot who started this whole mess. Even the student union told me to forget about him when it was right to report him either way to the grievance and complaint team. but I couldn't be bothered because I wanted to be out of this sh*t hole. what uni is this is?! a sh*t show one.

I love the idea of having your own bathroom
University is very nice, campus is lovely as well - but shops and stuff on site are quite pricey

So it's all hogwash done to attract students. The first few weeks is all about the facilities and societies the university has within days of freshers month completion everything is gone and no events or proper information for using facilities will be provided. Design courses are average with zero industry experience. Master's courses are irrelevant. You'll be wasting alot of money for bare minimum education Amenities provided are all digital base. So you would have to follow alot of procedures just to get the facility for your own use. Zero social life. With no assistance from unihelp or student body council. As they wouldn't know anything about anything. Fair warning there are better universities to go to than this one. If you actually just want to spend time in pretty building, waste your time and money then it's good but other than that nothing is worthwhile.

I came here because the location was convenient. Mostly they want you to watch online videos. You will feel shafted. Because if you come here you’re being shafted. I’m it sure what more I can say.

I didn’t really spend much time on campus to explore it fully, however has many amenities and I’m looking forward to be on campus next year.
Lack of support, a general sitting area with no quiet spaces to use when needed.
To summarize 3 years at middlesex.. Did it even happen? What a lonely, isolated and depressing time. They are absolute champions of the Hands Off approach. After the first year all our lecturers left but one, replaced with temporary staff. The university has 0 to do with teaching, we couldn't even use the studios for a year and a half which on a computer based course is just useless. Might as well have been YouTube university. Coming up to the graduation you'd think they'd let us know when we have to register and again they fail to communicate clearly. What a joke after 3 years
Good student diversity. I give lowest rating possible. The online website is often down. The support they give for my dyslexia is horrendous. They call me disabled. The only commination they have in Christmas time is for new appliances and nothing for students who are studying. Loads of unhealthy food options So many horrible things i cant even rember them all. They didn't even teach me the essential software for my disertation. Very very horrible university
I started 2019 and I am finishing in 2022. Understandably the pandemic effected the way we learned during my 2nd year at university. However, beyond that, it has been an absolute joke. During my 3rd and final year all our lectures are online, with only our seminars in person. There is no real reason for this to be the case aside from pure laziness. Some lecturers even have the audacity to upload lecture recordings from the previous year, showing that their content hasn't changed in the span of a year. How do you give an entire year's worth of Economic lectures without mentioning current events? They used Covid-19 as an excuse for lack of in-person lectures, yet ended uncapped resits for my year group, despite 2/3 of my uni experience being online. I did not sign up for an online university, so why don't students in my year get any special considerations, uncapped resits or extra support?

Middlesex University is a diverse and vibrant university good for young people. With many societies and a big student group of student voices. Facilities are great, but can be bigger and less cooped up with a more refreshing ambiance to the library. Teaching is ok, however can always do with a little bit more practical lessons rather than theoretical. The work center can also improve their services towards international students.
before starting in September, I booked a campus tour to get to know the campus as 90% of my classes were online. I had such a lovely time and I just wish I was living closer to the uni.
Wishing for more in person classes
Middlesex University is a great university if you are looking for a modern campus and a variety of courses. My professors and lecturers are very supportive and understanding, however, sometimes the material we are studying can be difficult to understand and chaotic. In my opinion, the strongest side of the university is that it offers a lot of support when it comes to our future career.
Middlesex University could be improved if they had a DJ night again at the bar once a week, so that students can dance again on campus.

The university experience has been fantastic so far. I am really pleased with all the support and help provided by the university to help me going in my academic life.

I'm now in my final year as a non-EU student paying £13,500yr My experience is not worth this much. Timetabling- terrible. About to start my final term in 2 days and do not have a timetable yet. Was told to just read the slides on my own and hopefully it gets sorted by week 2. It's like this every term. I get that timetabling is a complicated tasks, yet they ALWAYS leave it to the last minute and now I can't go to class. Many of us have jobs who are impatiently waiting for our hours and lives that revolve around classes but MDX doesn't care about your students needs. Quality of Education - Very poor. Students are expected to produce quality work, free of mistakes, and to submit said work on time. This does not apply to faculty and materials they produce. Full of typos and errors making it hard to learn. Finance team makes SO many mistakes - I've had to pay so many fees because of them. Unihelp is slow and not knowledgeable-Service is sh*t. Teaching is often outdated. DONT GO HERE.

Middlesex University MA PHOTOGRAPH program is utterly useless. Virtually nothing listed on the MDX MA Photography webpage is accurate and for all intents and purposes nothing is taught (what I learned I did so entirely on my own initiative). When I approached the course leaders about my concerns, I was not merely rebuffed, they were flat-out angry that I dared to challenge or question their approach to the program. My follow-up feedback/complaint to the office of the chancellor of the university was equally squashed despite the fact that I laid out specific details. On balance, I also submitted a list of suggestions for improving the course. In short, stay away from MDX MA Photography. You have been warned.
Truely a wonderful university. Computer Science facilities of Middlesex University is World class.
The check in app is awful. The “free books” are just digital copies on a rubbish app. Food is overpriced, there are about 2 jobs available for each course when there are probably around 200 students on a single course. There are no extracurricular stuff.
I have been at Middlesex University for two years. Let’s sum it up in a few points: Good: 1. Not bad as a campus, lectures and seminars are within close approximate to the main building. 2. Some lecturers like in the Business school, do care about the students and they want to see them develop! Bad: 1. MDXSU, marketing and Unitemps teams are the worst. Staff are unworthy of such jobs. They are rude and disgusting. 2. They employ the people they want. Yes, hear me again, they will employ the people they want. If you are good and apply for equal opportunities then forget it. The working environment is creepy and sad. 3. Their work ethics is unbelievable and alarming. This goes to Unitemps and MDXSU. 4. Unitemps staff are weirdos and dirty people.
Middlesex University was a fantastic experience for me. There were some days when it felt like there was no organization or communication, but it always ended up working out. As a marketing student, I had absolutely amazing lecturers who helped me with whatever I needed. The facilities are all new and well kept, the clubs and societies are fun if you get involved, the students union puts on a good show and is a great laugh, careers services helps you if you actively seek them out. The wifi can be pretty rubbish some days, but the computers in the library usually have a good connection and run fairly well.
I have only been here a year and have NOT experienced the Careers Services or any Clubs or Societies so please don't take those ratings into consideration. The campus is decent, some rooms obviously much nicer than others, never really used the wifi but I think it was slow at times, but thats expected considering the amount of people that would have been using it lmao. There's a Costa and Starbucks on Campus which is a bonus as well as a Subway.
Im struggling to find anything good to write about this uni,i mean the library is decent but iften busy ,student union organise god awful events,theres decent sports teams to join but facilities are awful ,the internet is decent when not everystudent is using it!but this uni has a i dont give a f**k attitude to students really,awful stay clear!!

Disappointment in the lack of professionalism when staff are presented with complaints. Defensive, rude , argumentative and condescending behaviour shown by more than one staff member. Patronising behaviour makes it very uneasy to be present in meetings. Very disappointed.
Disappointing. I felt like I was waiting for the entire academic year for the course to begin.
It’s a nice campus, free WiFi all over and free printing, some good events but they only do a student night once a month. The student union are great though and I like the vibe in MDX house. Seems quite small for a university all together but that may be just me?
Facilities are so bad. There’s only 3 main food places and all the food is gross and overpriced. If you’re vegan it’s even more impossible to get decent food. A lot of universities have practically their own little village, with things like a corner shop and banks and restaurants but Middlesex has none of that. Would be a great uni if the facilities were improved on. There’s a lot of costas and one starbucks where you can get sandwiches but that can get boring. There’s loads of societies which is good, and i’m pretty sure most of them, if not all, are free to join.
Really bad university. I would not recommend to anyone to go. Poor lecture, poor facilities. Waste of time and money.

Homely university. very pretty campus and people are welcoming. Most societies apart from Islam or anime are pretty closed off and just have their own cliques and barely arrange meetings for new people.
I had a great time at the uni and in classes. Staff are friendly and motivate you to work. Perhaps one thing that takes longer is getting some feedback on written coursework. Facilities and labs are second to none especially the networking labs all hands-on and lots of help provided. Food is a bit expensive but the High Road more than makes up for it. Lots of fast food restaurants about as well as nice places to sit and eat. I loved the place and if I ever want to study again I will go back, look nowhere else. james
MDX pushes its students to become as employable as they can trying to get them to be life smart for after graduation and not just get them a degree.

Facilities O.k but University policy and staff attitude towards you is crippling and has had a disastrous effect on my future career. If you hand the work in late they refuse to mark it even though it's a large assignment, thereby making you fail the whole course. They outright refuse by saying its uni policy and they say the are treating you like an adult yet if any teacher or member of the staff hand in work late they still get paid either way. I have now lost a year and I am now in debt having paid the tuition fees in full, in effect I have paid their wages and yet they cannot even be bothered to mark my work, why ? because its an inconvenience to them. I had spoken to another department but they care even less quoting the uni policy.
Hello dear student and fellow on-coming students, I would like to share my experience with Middlesex university. I am at my last year here and since the beginning of my journey the teachers have been very unprofessional and the lectures are just very bad but of course there are 1 or 2 teachers whom are very good out of 10 teachers for example. Most teachers here are after their income, not to teach. Rather than helping you achieve the best they put you down and tell the students that they will fail. The education system here is rubbish, at all costs please avoid this university. I have been here for 3 years and have not learned a single thing. They expect you to know these things before hand and they will not teach you. Teachers here are not willing to teach. As they say its all about the 'MONEY'. If you are coming here to study Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. Please choose another university and save your future.
Basically, the majority of people get accepted to some courses even without having a clue of what is going on. This results in 70 percent of people not even knowing what their course is, but they are "cool". The food place is crowded so it is not useful while rushing to another class. Especially in front of the exams, the university will hold many events that students are not invited to in the main building. Therefore they literally kick you out in front of your studies, put a security guard next to each door and not let you in - even though you pay for the school and are a student. Prices in the food stores are just insane, if you leave the campus, the prices go down about 50 percent. There are just so many people that don't have interest and they ruin the lessons for you as well.
Most incompetent office staff possible. I have continuously tried to contact them to resolve a change that needs doing in my course and they still are failing to respond.

Wifi can be pretty bad sometimes. The library is amazing; especially the timetable. The facilities for all courses are amazing ! The uni is clean and friendly and the campus is so beautiful especially at night. There are lots of great events organized by Student Union.

Not a lot I can fault the University on really, it has everything you need as a student! The student union is really helpful and offers lots of opportunities for other students to get involved and help! There is a good range of internet everywhere on campus. I think the only exception is one block of ladies toilets, however I'm sure this isn't a major problem for anyone:).
