As much as I love Surrey university, I feel that the business department does lack sometimes in terms of the content of the business course. Every year they are changing the structure and modules to try improve it. I feel that the modules are quite 'dry' and not very interactive. A lot of it is based on learning theory and applying it in exams. The first year you will study 8 compulsory modules, 2nd year you'll study 6 compulsory and two optional. And then final year there is 4 of each. I guess as this is a Bsc therefore it's more exam based rather assignments or coursework. Most of the coursework that you will receive is either a report, essay or a presentation with can be either independent or group. Also as this is a very international university, this means that most of the lectures are also international and sometimes it is extremely hard to understand and focus on the lecture - especially when it's very intense lectures such as 'Business Finance' or 'Financial Accounting'. read more
