As I mentioned previously, both departments need more money in them. I was out of pocket when the library only had a handful of books available of a specific title- all of which were reserved as it was essential to the coursework. This meant that many of us had to buy the book ourselves despite having paid so much to attend uni here. There is not enough effort to encourage people to socialise on the course- in my maths lectures, it is rare that anybody speaks to eachother. There should be more group activities to encourage this or maybe the maths department should have some input into maths society- because theyhaven't hosted an event so far this academic year and it's already April. My Spanish course is great and so are my lecturers. Without a doubt, the strikes impacted my learning. read more
