I chose to pursue a degree in psychology as it was probably the only subject I actually enjoyed at school. It’s been fun to see concepts introduced at A-Level taken to new heights and give me a renewed understanding and appreciation for the research and it’s real life consequences. Like any degree, it’s been tough, but now that I’m one the other side I can see how the skills that I have learnt and developed are going to aid me going forward. As someone who doesn’t quite know what career path I want to go down, the broad application has eased my worry - employers like psychology degrees! read more

The lecture content is presented on the slides and teachers read it out loud. Not a challenging course at all (maybe statistics/research skills is the most difficult). Option modules are available from the second year, but limited. Preparing for the course work and exams requires a lot of reading, therefore nearly the whole learning process is done by the student. The job prospects are not the best, further studying (eg.: master or other preferred courses) is definitely needed. i would recommend this course to someone who would like to study psychology in general and enjoy social life as well. read more

Great to have lectures on material from the people who carried out the research. Many confident knowledgeable lecturers, however some just read off slides which is what I could do at home. Good university with a good reputation so my degree will be worth more however 8 hours a week is not worth £9,000. read more
