For some reason it won’t allow me to put Paramedic Science. I’m currently doing paramedic science and love it! The course is a great mix of practical placements and university, and the lecturers are absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable with a range of experiences that they happily share with us. The consistency in marking could be improved, but other than that the course is fantastic!

The most unorganised thing I’ve ever done, lectures continuously changing from face to face to online. Not enough face to face time. Lack of support during assignments at times, depending on lecturers. Some lecturers are amazing but overall I feel there is not adequate support for students who’s strong point is not academics. Placements are great and tailored to the degree, I find canvas easy to navigate although timetables can be confusing at times. read more

Training for clinical skills need to be improved e.g more equipment for students to use. Personal tutors- tutors should only have mentor groups if they have the time to help etc… More support needed from lecturers r.e essays and safe medicate. The placement team need to be more understanding when a student isn’t happy with a particular placement given e.g. if being forced to travel for 1hr plus (each way), having to wait for travel expenses up to 6 weeks after the placement has ended and if they are continually placed somewhere in which they have no interest, Less essays and more practical lessons. read more

Nursing needs a lot of work. Communication is poor and organisation of the course needs a complete revamp. I can’t explain the amount of times they change their mind about marking, clinical skills days or policies. read more

The placement team need a complete overhaul with regards to how placements are allocated. They also provide no support of individuals situations nor provide the opportunity to further career goals you have in mind. However, the nursing course is great, lectures great with supportive mentors. Great facilities and social gatherings in the beautiful setting of Swansea. read more
