I do think this course is really good, there’s definitely some really good lectures and teachers who are super supportive and passionate, there’s definitely only downside is maybe job prospects but I think that’s a university wide thing throughout the Uk at the moment. read more

As a third-year student finishing my degree, I have had a brilliant experience with the Classics and Classical Studies department at Swansea University. The course is incredibly varied and intellectually stimulating, offering opportunities you simply will not find at many other UK universities. The ultimate selling point of this degree is the teaching staff. Because the department is close-knit, the lecturers genuinely know who you are by name and are always willing to offer detailed essay feedback or help untangle complex translation texts during their office hours. The practical resources available to students are outstanding. Having the Egypt Centre located right on the Singleton Park campus is a major highlight, as being able to handle actual ancient artefacts firsthand completely changes how you view material culture.
