Criminology, BSc Hons FullTime

This is a course with a pathway choice if you so wish, which I did. I chose offender management for my pathway, and it’s not something I regret. I want to work in the criminal justice system and this is set up for people like me, we have visits to prison, probation officers and prison officers who teach us and pass their knowledge on and our leader is an ex police officer who is passionate who’s work and how we learn. We have a mix of workshops and lectures so it’s always interesting and plenty of debates. The staff are all so very knowledgeable but approachable which is what you need. The support given is second to none, we have a mix of ages from 18-50 and no one is left behind. The modules are not for the faint hearted but if you want to work in the CJS this is the course for you. I am weeks away from finishing level 5, and that’s not something I thought I would ever say as I am a disabled student but I am so proud, and it is down to the support I received. read more
