though i like the course, some aspects of the course don’t always feel necessary and occasionally i find that the layout of the teaching could be improved. Nevertheless, the lecturers are all nice and it is defiently a rewarding course and career to choose.

I think value for money is a controversial one for nursing as most people believe student nurses should be paid for what they’re doing instead of having to pay to do it themselves. The ‘assessing and planning for person centred care’ module I enjoy as it’s hands on and I feel I’m learning whereas other modules are less helpful and they’re just reading from powerpoints. My tutor Gayle is lovely, she does everything she can to help our group and always wants to help. read more

The course is interesting and I like the mix of seminars to lectures, where other disciplines can share their options and views based on their subject. Some of the teaching content is repeated in numerous online work and seminars for example handwashing, which can become tedious. read more

This is a large University with a large and good quality teaching team. The education you receive is from experts in their field. There is a nice balance between academic and practical sessions, and being in Sheffield the range of placements are wide, especially with two massive teaching hospitals next door. If anything could be improved, then the amount of time in clinical scenarios could be increased, these sessions were ones everyone looked forward to and provided you with an outlet to practice in a safe environment. Highlight of the three years has to be SMART day! read more
