Scotland's Rural College
Only recently turned into a university so I am sure with time it will be improved and develop. Overall the small coherts and ratio of students to lecturers outweigh any disadvantages. The small community is the biggest advantage because everyone knows everyone and its very welcoming. But theres not much diversity. People are generally down to earth and not stuck up or entitled. However, the campus is very small and underequiped currently. The library only has capacity for maximum 30 people and that is the only study space. It is quite loud and difficult to study. Whilst we can sometimes use aberdeen library, it is closed to SRUC students during exam periods. Also, there is only one bus to and from the uni meaning if you don't have a car you must be there all day every day. But most people do drive and are really nice and offer lifts. The car park is very small so eirther there needs to be far more frequent buses or the car park needs to be bigger. Student support couldn't be better. read more
