Linguistics and Politics, BA FullTime

I did my Masters in Postcolonial Studies, which I could not find in the dropdown list. The core modules itself were underwhelming and the teaching staff quite disappointing, but all my electives were brilliant- especially those on migrations and borders, and from the gender studies department. read more

East Asian Studies and International Relations, BA Hons FullTime

It is a really balanced course, which I strongly recommend to anyone interested in International Relations and the East Asian region. What I especially liked was the wide range of resources and the quality of teaching. If I had to point to one negative aspect of it, it would be the quite narrow narrative that is being taught. The 'SOAS Ideology' as I would refer to it, is present in the teachings of almost every module making it difficult to present alternative views on the issues we are covering. read more
