Royal Holloway, University of London

My Experience at Royal Holloway Royal Holloway is a great university for students, offering a welcoming and supportive environment with a beautiful campus. The university provides a good balance between academic studies and student life, with plenty of opportunities to meet new people, join societies, and get involved in different activities. The campus is a lovely place to study and relax, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and inclusive. The staff are supportive, and there are many resources available to help students succeed both academically and personally. Overall, I would say Royal Holloway is a great choice for students looking for a positive university experience, a strong sense of community, and a beautiful place to live and study. read more

Royal Holloway, University of London

Good University, offers good amount of support with studying and mental health. Has good campus facilities but could benefit from more social spaces. Campus food is often quite expensive for sandwiches, baked goods and coffee which taste like from a supermarket. The location is very nice as the uni is located not far from Windsor park with lots of vegetation on campus and around it, although not far from London, Reading or Windsor. However, buses are often unreliable and sometimes don’t come on schedule but luckily it’s easy to get a train to anywhere. read more

I’ve had a positive overall experience at Royal Holloway. The campus is one of the standout features, it’s genuinely beautiful and well-maintained, and the facilities are generally strong. Study spaces, the library, and lecture halls are all reliable, although some areas can get quite busy during peak times. Clubs and societies are another highlight. There’s a wide variety to choose from, and it’s relatively easy to get involved and meet people, especially in first year. Most societies are well-organised and active, which adds a lot to student life. The careers service is helpful and provides solid resources, including CV support, workshops, and employer events. It’s useful if you actively engage with it, though you do need to be proactive to get the most out of it. Overall, Royal Holloway offers a strong university experience with a great environment and good support systems, but like most universities, it depends on how much effort you put in to take advantage of what’s available. read more

I had a wonderful experience staying at Parish Hall and truly could not recommend it more. The environment feels safe, welcoming, and genuinely student-focused. A very special thank you to Maria, the Contract and Scheme Manager, who is incredibly responsive and sincerely cares for every tenant. She handles concerns quickly and always goes the extra mile to make sure we are comfortable and supported. Huge appreciation as well to all the receptionists who work around the clock to ensure our safety and wellbeing. Knowing there is always someone available 24/7 brings so much peace of mind. I also love how thoughtful the team is — from complimentary snacks in the common room to being inclusive and accommodating of different cultural celebrations. It really makes Parish Hall feel like a community, not just an accommodation. I am grateful for such a positive and seamless student living experience read more
