Northumbria University

The uni has a good atmosphere and is easy to make friends and attend social activities. It communicates every step of the way via email. However, these communications are often last minute and the overall quality of learning aint great. The facilities are very usefull and well kept but have major issues of reliabilty as something is always malfunctioning. read more

Walking back out into the Newcastle chill at the end of the day, looking at the mix of modern glass buildings and the buzzing city around me. I just get this feeling that I am in the right place. It’s hard work, but Northumbria really does look after you in all areas ( Welfare , Job , after Uni Life. read more

Northumbria university is an amazing university with a huge range of courses suitable for each person! The campus is lovely and there are many different buildings. There are many sports and societies to join that are welcoming to all abilities which makes it very social and fun on top of studies. Northumbria have a movement called be part of it that offers a wide range of activities each month for a much cheaper price than what would usually be paid which is great for accommodating student life and the activities are a fun way to do something with friends or meet new people! read more

Northumbria University

The location has been great for me being to close to Northumbria university and with Tesco nearby. It is a very social accommodation with lots of events happening, activities organised by reception have been a way to meet new people and socialise. Staff at reception are helpful and there for anything we need, maintenance has worked quickly. However in the actual social areas the pools cues are broken and there is only one of two meaning you have to share the cues which is not ideal. The tv and console is also not working properly, it’s honestly just there for show, and there is a couple board games on the shelves yet these are missing so many pieces there is no point. In regard to the general property cleaning the site is generally clean however there have been times where the lift in my block is unusable with how dirty it is, there was one time where sick had been left in the lift for many days and the smell was unbearable. There are also rats about in the courtyard which is gross. read more

Mechanical Engineering at Northumbria University has been a really positive experience overall. The course is well-structured with a good mix of theory and practical work, and the lecturers are supportive and approachable. There are great facilities and plenty of opportunities to get hands-on experience, which really helps build confidence and skills. read more

Northumbria University

This uni doesn't care about its student or staff in the slightest. By treating its staff so badly they've been forced to go on strike which is massively impacting every student as we are now unable to learn or have any meaningful contact with our lecturers/ module leaders. Do not go to this university it is terrible! read more
