Very good course, I love the case-based learning method. They often ask for feedback and work on fixing this but this mainly benefits the next year to do the course rather than your own year. Could improve on communicating with students about things like how exams work and what will be tested as most of this info comes from students in years above but other than that they’re very supportive and most staff are very approachable and are happy to answer questions or help if you’re struggling. Content is difficult and the course is quite fast paced but that is expected on a medicine course and they do ease you into it as much as possible. You have early clinical experience and you build skills that are needed to be a doctor early on, which helps prepare you for later years and also makes the course much more enjoyable as you get to experience the actual job earlier on which helped motivate me more when the content was difficult. Overall I love this course. read more

Teaching is excellent and some aspects of remote learning have been embraced to reduce the amount of time spent in lectures. Only issue is something the university has been made aware of for years: they have a system for "professionalism" (previous has been for penalty points or pinpoints) which means staff can arbitrarily assign students points based on certain actions. These often do not relfect actual professionalism but is used as a threat for things such as filling in feedback forms (not anonymous) and accumulating these points can affect how well you do at the course. Staff will often threaten with these points and then backtrack, often denying threats of points made in lecture halls full of 400+ students which sends a very clear message read more
