As a student in the Robotics Engineering course at Leeds Beckett University, I’ve had a truly enriching academic journey so far. The course offers a great mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, which is essential in a field like robotics. From working with Arduino, ROS, sensors, automation systems, to tackling real-world simulation and control projects, the learning is very practical and relevant to industry needs. The lecturers are passionate and supportive, and many bring real-world insights from their research or industry experience. What I particularly appreciate is the freedom to explore individual interests through final year projects and group work, which helps in building both technical and soft skills. The labs and equipment are generally good, and access to tools like 3D printers, CNC machines, and simulation software makes learning engaging.
