The course comprises of a wide variety of different topics, all of which capture the essence of criminological thought. Tutors are very helpful and oversell standard of teaching is reasonably good. Lectures could be improved upon but overall, reasonably good. read more

Criminology at Lancaster is amazing! It's currently ranked Number 1 in The Times and The Sunday Times for criminology! The subject is great! You learn things you never knew before and explore things you never thought you would. The lecturers themselves are also professional academic researchers, so everything they teach us is actually current, live stuff that is actually happening now. Furthermore, the teachers are also available to contact 24hrs a day, whether it be by email or just dropping by their office... The teachers always respond and are extremely helpful! They help you as best as they can and help you to achieve the best education possible! read more

All humanities courses are not worth the £9000 to be honest because all you need is a room to teach it, not like a science subject where loads of equipment is required. But at Lancaster the sociology course is fantastic with a great set of modules. read more
