Modules for the most part are well taught and the lecturers are more than happy to help you with anything you may come across. The student reps are very vocal and are constantly pushing the department to improve and change the structure of the courses when they are lacking. The workshops have a max of 1:15 ratio, the feedback given on work is generally good but not very extensive. The department has its own head of careers and Derek is constantly sending us emails about new jobs and future study. read more

Maths in general is my favourite subject however the lectures can be tedious and how it is taught varies depending on the lecturer. Sometimes there are gaps to fill out as the lecture goes but some lecturers only focus on the gaps when there is so much more to learn to help the confirm your understanding of the course and your final exams read more
