Though it can look a bit grim sometimes (grey skies and rain etc etc), Lancaster has a great campus that is easy to find your way round. There are a good selection of cafes, shops and bars, and everyone is friendly. The Thursday markets in Alex Square are brilliant and you can usually find a hog roast, something sweet and delicious or a new houseplant... read more

I’ve had an absolutely wonderful stay at St Leonard's House. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Sainsbury’s and local bus stops, which makes daily shopping and travelling around Lancaster incredibly convenient. The accommodation has high-quality, well-maintained facilities and the rooms are really spacious and comfortable. There is a great on-site gym available for all residents, which is such a brilliant bonus for students. The staff members are warm, polite and always willing to help whenever you need anything. The maintenance service is exceptional. Whenever I raised a repair request, the team responded really quickly and fixed the issue to a very high standard. One lovely little perk is that the reception regularly hands out free snacks for people living here. These small thoughtful touches make the whole place feel welcoming and homely. Overall, this is an excellent student accommodation. I would highly recommend St Leonard's House to any students looking for a place read more

Highly recommend St Leonard’s House, especially for international students! The rent includes all bills and the Wi-Fi is very strong. The location is convenient: 3-5 mins’ walk to Sainsbury, Lancaster Bus Station and Shopping Centre. I feel safe here, with three fob-access security points, CCTVs, and weekly fire-alarm testing. It is generally quiet and I rarely hear noise from other residents. Property management is excellent. When my toilet stopped flushing, it was fixed within two days, with a staff member accompanying the maintenance worker. The staff is responsive, usually replying to emails within a few hours during working hours. The reception accepts deliveries and notifies me via the app/email, which is useful when I’m at university during the day. Great facilities include a free gym, common room and reasonably priced laundry (3 washers and 3 dryers). There are 3 lifts and 3 staircases, so waiting times are minimal. I love social events such as pizza days and free snacks. read more

可以压缩到更适合 StudentCrowd 的长度,同时保留你最想强调的几个点: ★★★★★ I’ve lived at Foundry Studios for nearly two years and have been very happy with my experience. The location is probably its biggest advantage. In my opinion, it is one of the best locations for student accommodation in Lancaster. Sainsbury’s is only about a 5-minute walk away, and Lancaster Bus Station is right outside, which makes shopping and travelling around the city very convenient. The studios are also more spacious than many other student accommodations I’ve seen in Lancaster, including CC, which makes a big difference for long-term living. The reception staff have always been friendly, approachable and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance. Overall, Foundry Studios offers an excellent location, spacious rooms and very good service. After living here for nearly two years, I would definitely recommend it. read more

Lancaster University has been an incredible place to study. The campus is beautifully designed with plenty of green spaces, making it a pleasant environment to live and work in. The facilities are excellent — from the well-equipped library to the various sports and social spaces. The academic support and quality of teaching have been outstanding, and the multicultural community makes you feel welcome from day one. A truly world-class university experience! read more

My time at Lancaster University has been truly transformative. The academic environment is both challenging and supportive, but what really stands out is the dedication of my supervisors—they’re always accessible, give detailed feedback, and genuinely care about my progress, which has kept me motivated and on track. Beyond the classroom, the university offers an incredible range of social events, from cultural festivals to sports clubs and networking nights, making it easy to connect with people from all over the world. On top of that, the on-campus and part-time job opportunities have been a game-changer—not only do they help ease financial pressure, but they’ve also given me real-world skills, teamwork experience, and a huge confidence boost in a professional setting. I couldn’t have asked for a more well-rounded and rewarding study abroad experience." read more

Lancaster is an incredibly welcoming and supportive university, for those who have found their “people”. I worry for those aren’t involved in any societies, sports, etc as the limited activities to do beyond campus, and the often dismal weather, can probably make it quite easy to slip into a pattern of isolation. read more

I had a lovely time at Lancaster University, the location means that you are close to the seaside and the Lake District for a weekend away and it is easy to access them through public transport. Lancaster is a relatively small town but has decent shops, cinemas and night life. In terms of clubs there are only really 2 but the student union nightclub (The Sugarhouse) is a good club that is only open to students from Cumbria and Lancaster Universities. However some people say that there isn't enough variation in terms of what music is played at Sugar so this can be a drawback. The campus itself is lovely with a good number of shops on the campus itself, with lovely nature walks and areas to revise both inside and outdoors. The university has a good careers service but it isn't always the most well known service on campus. Parking is also a drawback as you have to pay for parking each day and the prices are quite high considering most people who use it are students. read more

Campus is really nice, plenty of places to eat, good library, and a couple of shops that are OK for light shopping. WiFi doesn't work everywhere. read more
