KCL’s Biochemistry course is well structured and academically strong, with teaching that feels genuinely connected to the life science research happening across the university. Lecturers, tutors, and lab staff are dedicated and genuinely invested in helping students perform at their best. The hands‑on lab work is organised and supportive, building real confidence in core experimental skills. With high levels of research activity across KCL, the course feels closely tied to current scientific progress, making the overall experience both relevant and motivating. So far, I think choosing to study a Biochemistry degree has been the perfect choice for me!

I think biochemistry it’s a bit mediocre unless you know what you really want to do with it. There’s many things you can go into but you really need to find extra experience. There’s many things you can go into though, but you need to know relatively early so you can find tailored work experience. The content is heavy and can be tedious but it can be enjoyable if you make it. read more
