Forensic Science and Human Biology, BSc Hons FullTime

I rate the value for money as low as even though I get the opportunity to use some expensive, advanced technology and I appreciate wages, upkeep, inflation and other costs I think £9,000 annually is extortionate, especially considering how much cheaper university used to be (obviously goes for all not just Keele). The teaching quality is good and lecturers are there to help but a lot of it is online/going through slides which isn't interactive and can be repetitive. My personal tutor hasn't gotten in touch with me much at all, with only one meeting in my first year which is disappointing but in truth I haven't gotten in touch with them either. There is a range of content on my course that I find interesting however some of the compulsary modules for my dual honours I am not as interested in as the ones I missed out on which is unfortunate. The careers advice and opportunities relating to my course is given regularly on emails but not by lecturers in person read more

Biochemistry and Neuroscience, BSc Hons FullTime

My personal tutor was absolutely horrible. He wouldn't ever help me with my problems. The neuroscience course is also studied along side of biology & biochemistry which have nothing to do with your course but it's still mandatory. In one of the classes I got called a "b****" by a professor as I told him I don't have all the equipment I needed. He said to his assistant "go see what this b**** is on about". But ahh well, he later got fired because of a personal reason (I hear it was about being with another student) but honestly I'm not surprised. I had a biology professor called Vicky (if I remember correctly) and she was honestly the best professor out the lot (even tho I was studying neuroscience and not biology) she explained every thing with ease and really helped me through the module (thank you!) But I honestly hated everything about Keele! Some love it and some hate it but I moved to a different uni and omg...it does get better! read more
