I still remember the first day I stepped into South Kensington, a mix of excitement and imposter syndrome bubbling inside me. Imperial has this reputation—ultra-smart, ultra-focused, and yes, ultra-competitive. And it lives up to it. But once you're in, you realise it's not about being the smartest in the room. It's about curiosity, grit, and collaboration. One of the defining moments for me was a group research project in my final year. We were tasked with developing a prototype for a wearable health sensor. It was stressful, chaotic, and full of technical setbacks. But seeing our prototype work on demo day—and having an external company show genuine interest—was a moment of pride I’ll never forget. That’s when it hit me: Imperial doesn’t just teach you knowledge; it trains you to build things that matter. read more

I had a very good and excellent living experience here. The room is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and quiet environment for both study and rest. The location is also ideal—it’s very close to Imperial College London, with easy access to both the South Kensington campus and the White City campus. Commuting is convenient, with multiple bus routes and underground lines available, allowing us to reach the university in about 30 minutes. In addition, the accommodation offers great support for receiving parcels, which makes online shopping hassle-free. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to live, especially for students. read more

Everything is generally above satisfactory. Only point of complaint would be that certain parts of the campus could do with renovating. And not to mention, the queen's tower has been under renovation for how long now? I haven't interacted with the student union too much but I believe they are doing a good job. read more
