Love it here so far. The people I’ve met have been really friendly and the lecturers are approachable and respond the emails in a timely manner! Heriot-Watt has a beautiful campus and since it isn’t too far from the city centre there are lots of buses running throughout the day. The traditional accommodations are also quite nice. The room is big enough for uni essentials and a bit of decoration read more
Heriot-Watt University
Heriot-Watt is a practice-focused university well-known for engineering, computer science, AI and robotics. Its Edinburgh campus is a spacious, green parkland site, quiet and ideal for studying. It takes roughly 20–30 minutes by bus to reach Edinburgh city centre. On-campus accommodation is mostly self-catered single en-suite rooms with all bills included. Halls are a short walk from teaching buildings, library and sports facilities, and guaranteed for eligible new students, though availability is limited. Teaching is practical and project-heavy, with strong industry links. You will work on plenty of coursework, group projects and lab tasks. Library and specialist facilities including the GRID and National Robotarium are great for technical degrees. The student community is diverse and international. The vibe is calm rather than party-focused. It’s a solid choice if you prefer a quiet campus and prioritise hands-on technical training, but less ideal if you want to live right in the cit read more
