Leaving home and moving abroad to begin a new chapter of life was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. Looking back, choosing Heriot-Watt University has been one of the best decisions of my life. From day one, every member of staff has made me feel safe, heard, and supported. Even when I wasn’t aware of a challenge, someone was always there to guide me with care and practical solutions. The on-campus GP service is accessible during emergencies, and wellbeing support, including professional psychologists and drop-in conversations, is readily available. The tutors genuinely care about students and are always willing to help. The beautiful campus, surrounded by nature and home to Oriam, provides an inspiring environment to learn and grow. Opportunities are endless, and the welcoming community makes you feel at home even when you are far from your own country I am truly grateful to be part of a university that invests in its students and helps shape the leaders of tomorrow read more
