The staff are always sweet and helpful. The location is good. The accommodation is reasonably big, so would benefit from larger laundry facilities. Also, some showers in the en-suite are not separated from the rest of the bathroom. Highly inconvenient, everything inside the bathroom gets wet.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

It was very damp and cold all of the time, heating didn’t work
The staff is very nice and very helpful. The room lights could be brighter but I guess warm lights are more in use in the UK. The common room is a great place for study and hanging out and playing the piano. Kitchens are where you actually meet your flatmates and slowly coming to meet them is fun. It’s a short walk from Uni as well as the train and bus station, so very good location. The rooms are nice. The wardrobes can feel small. The tables are big and make a good study space.
Despite the high cost, I was mostly satisfied with this accommodation. However, just one week after moving in, the water supply stopped, and I had to live without water for a few days.
The bathroom is too small to have a bath. If you are a tall and/or large person it’s so hard to fit in the shower area. Also water pressure is low. The wardrobe is also too small to put all of your clothes. The bed is the worst! It’s single bed, so old and uncomfortable, the springs are poking your back. When I first saw my room, I was so disappointed but then I got used to it. The kitchen is nice though. It’s wide enough to have parties with friends and also has microwave, toaster and all. The desk and the board in the room is large enough. The floor is not carpeted, which is a plus! But the heating is so bad, they only turn the heater on if it’s so cold outside but it’s not enough. Also boosting the heater only lasts 45 mins, then you have to press again. The neighbourhood is not safe at all but it’s close to overground station and big stores (sainsburys). It’s very close to Goldsmiths University and nice pubs. Overall it’s not too bad but also not so good, it’s mediocre.
Kudos to the Unite Students team at EHC for being the most amazing bunch.

It’s a nice n friendly building with lovely and nice staff. Va Only real note is that I have a wet room as a bathroom which is kinda odd and annoying as now I have to mop my floor to avoid any damp smell. Apart from that it’s pretty chill
Love all people working here! They are all friendly, and always willing to help me! And Deidre even remember my flat, it really makes me feel like Im home again!
Really bad experience in there. Far too expensive for what it is. There are problems almost every week regarding maintenance and nothing is done or done too slowly. I do not recommend this place at all and I will leave as soon as possible.

Customer services are good, especially from the ladies. Tatania and Deidre.
The receptionists are amazing especially Diedre. They have been very helpful but the students are loud and made the experience worse.
If I were asked to describe Ewen Henderson Court, I would say it is an extremely poorly managed student accommodation, riddled with complex maintenance issues that are only ever repaired when understaffed maintenance teams are chased over a period of several days. Ewen Henderson Court employs unprofessional staff members who consume drugs on site and do nothing to combat criminal activity within the accommodation, such as theft. Members of staff are extremely slow to reply to emails, or fail to reply at all. Rooms come equipped with an array of maintenance problems and when students are offered alternate rooms to use, these too are inadequate. Unite Students withhold knowledge of maintenance problems from students whilst continuing to charge luxury prices and do so under the guise that maintenance support is offered on site. Unite Students are miserly and money-grubbing and fail to offer financial recompense that is nothing short of insulting. Do not stay here.
I’m paying £180 per week for an en-suite, given that it’s London this seems pretty good. All other Goldsmiths accommodations have cleaners and despite paying the same amount, we do not. There’s a common room with a TV that doesn’t work but there is a pool table and vending machines (that do work now, but didn’t when we moved). Positives are that you’re right next to two supermarkets and an overground station so really easy to get into Central. New Cross Gate isn’t the best location in the world however.
This accommodation was my third choice i didn't want to stay here! Stayed here as a kcl student and as I am reaching the end of my first year, I can definitely say living here hasn't been great. My flat was so anti-social! Problems with facilities like rust all over the bathroom floor, parts of the oven not working etc etc. Layout of accommodation makes socialising really really hard, so if you have bad flat mates like me... not great! Furthermore, the company that runs the accommodation, Unite Students began renting out short stay rooms for random people as if it were a hotel! This might not matter to some people but it directly breaches the contract with my uni. New Cross is fine and not too far from central. But PLEASE its definitely worth paying the extra 10/20 quid for something far nicer.
Poorly managed, impossible to work here, and the students (though they seem rarely to study) are generally awful.
Impossible to work here - go somewhere else!
Stayed here in 2016 during undergrad at KCL, Easy and often bus and tube access to Strand Campus which I was concerned about. Quite a social hall so making friends was easy :)
Not a good place for student midwives or nurses as they have a fire alarm that constantly goes off in your room each week, meaning if you had a night shift there is not a chance that you will be getting any rest. Alongside this they have staff that will just enter your rooms and building work going on right next door from as early as 7:30 in the morning. The rooms are freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer there's no in between
As international who live as home student flatmate is really a bad idea. They love to party and speak loud as if they rent the whole flat for themselves. Moreover, this student acomodation is not appropriate for postgraduate at all. Management handle a complain for broken equipment quite slow. The best thing in ewen henderson is the price.
best choice that was ever made for me
It may look like a S***hole when you arrive and don't get me wrong, it is. But the social experience there was much better than the other King's Halls. Because you're in Zone 2 you tend to get a zone 1-2 travel card which forces you to explore London much more than others did. Also, it is much bigger than other King's halls so socialising in other people's kitchens was a very common thing. Overall if you do go here don't be disappointed like I first was, I and everyone I know there loved it.
Not the best halls but socially very good and not too far from Guy's Campus, quite a trek to Strand though. Facilities not really worth the price considering the location as well, and management can be a bit of a mess at times although people who work at reception are nice
