Amazing halls! Little bit dated in the living/cooking areas but incredibly clean and a great size. Highly recommend them to any student. Some things need updating but other than that it was great. Would also recommend post boxes on the block walls

I could see both of my friends flats from.my.room and I had a big room. It was the best value for money out of all the accommodation. I had a good relationship with my flat mates and we had a lot of fun doing silly things together and have too many flat parties
Comfortable and affordable accommodation. Big rooms, could possibly benefit from a little revamp. Also kitchens could benefit from 2 ovens for a flat with 9 people.
It's more of a prison than halls. The cleaning staff make messes constantly and try to charge students for fees for their messes. There are no iews, it is all clustered together. Unfortunately literally right next to a maternity ward at a hospital. Good luck sleeping on Wednesday nights. Fire alarms go off constantly, and the security team is overly aggressive and has forced students outside while it is snowing while they bumble around the fire system. Wifi is abysmal, and the cupboards for food are tiny. Mine is right next to an oven, so my food spoils rapidly.
In my opinion it's definitely the best halls, having seen all of them. And my cleaner, Nigel is incredible and goes above and beyond!
Overpriced for what it is. Maintenance wasn’t great, had to wait a week for a bulb to be replaced, should have just done it myself. Wifi and phone signal were both shocking and need to be addressed.
Very average student accommodation, could do with new sofas as they were horrific and covered in Stains. We had our fridge break once and also our oven break. So more tests need to be done before students actually move in, for safety reasons.

Overall, Queens Road is fantastic accommodation. Only problems are the wifi, but that's the same across most universities as Eduroam isn't great. Also, the cleaners aren't too brilliant. They don't do all the jobs they're supposed to do in the kitchen and I often find myself having to do them myself.
Good location. My flat has 5 people. Nice and safe with key card entry. Not overly sociable but depends on your flatmates. Ensuite are also great - shower basin occasionally floods
We had a massive game of hide and seek to meet all our neighbours when we first moved in - best halls at Winchester.
Great halls, best rooms of the three self catered options. Wifi and phone signal wasn't great at first but improved throughout the year. Loved living here!
Brilliant facilities, good location, secure and well managed. The only major complaint I have is that en-suite showers have quite shallow floors and are prone to flooding at time. Otherwise very really good!

Its good but not ideal for socialising its the only downfall really. Close to town and the location is ideal as it is on campus!
For my first year at uni, i cannot imagine living anywhere else apart from Queens.
Transferred from Burma, much nicer, much bigger room for less money. Great!

I asked for a quiet flat, I was put with 3 other people which was fine. However what angered me is how the university has put people with a disability together! I stated that I have a disability. I do not need an accessible room, I can do everything fine and I stated that but the university decided to put me with three other people with a disability and it feels like segregation ! I feel like I should have hidden the fact I'm disabled..
Right on campus and decent value for money if you're in a shared room like I was, but I wouldn't want to pay the full price for a single room. The communal space is small and kind of dirty but the kitchen itself is clean and has plenty of space. The wifi and phone signal can be iffy depending on where in the halls you are. E.g. my wifi worked in my room but not the phone signal, and visa versa in the kitchen/communal area.
Perfect location, love having everything nearby. Good room size with ensuite.
no common room or social spaces are in this hall, however we have Facebook chats and the lay out makes it very easy to socialise! my only complaint is that you cant open the windows all the way and we don't have our own launderette (have to use burma roads)
Convenient and perfectly quiet.
Some rooms have VERY VERY bad wi-fi but the rooms are big and very nice in general. the bathroom is small but sufficient.

Rooms were great, as were the en suites, however the kitchen and social space was small, dated and tatty.
The showers here are absolutely incredible. It's expensive, but I'd say it's worth paying a bit extra just for the shower. Cleaned regularly, it's quiet (at least where I am) but it's not completely dead.
Brilliant maintenance. If you have a broken and report it they fix it pretty quickly. I have bad wifi in my flat but Ethernet cable works fine. So close to my lectures. Massive desk space, not much drawer space
Dry and sterile. Not particularly friendly. Just flats with 7 rooms and a small kitchen. Usual sort of thing. Doesn't encourage interaction due to lack of proper communal spaces.
Exactly what I was looking for. Had a wonderful time there and would not really change a thing. As student accommodation goes it was amazing. Even had friends from the other halls (including Burma Road) saying it was better.
Fantastic experience. Nice and big single ensuite rooms. Kitchen comes with 16 inch LCD TV with DVD player. If you have lots of stuff, there is a long desk/table where you can pretty much put your PC and TV and console.
Hot water isn't always guaranteed. Will be woken up every night by people on the way to the SU
Could have done with a common room and a better outside area, but on the whole, loved it.

Excellent accommodation. Located on campus with a short walk to the town. Cleaners are employed mon-fri and keep the communal areas amazingly clean. The room is fairly large, boasting a huge desk and an ensuite.
I liked it because the ensuite was nice, the desk was huge and it was really cost but the actual halls weren't that great and so expensive!
Queens Road is amazing accommodation! Decent sized, good kitchen space and such a sociable location. Wouldn't change it for the world!!
Queens is by far the best halls at the uni. They have the biggest bedrooms although some kitchens are smaller than others. The cleaners are great and if you are lucky enough to have Nige then your kitchen will be sparkling all year! Living with 5 other people is fine, even if you don't like them! Although, don't all shower at the same time... Sometimes the hot water doesn't spread far enough... Queens is slightly quieter than Westdowns but is definitely worth slightly more money! Don't listen to anyone on Burma, Queens is definitely better value for money!
