St Vincent’s Place is only a ten-minute walk from both the main University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam campuses. Kelham Island is located nearby and is one of Sheffield's most vibrant areas where you will find the best food, drink, and entertainment in the city.
The accommodation offers a common area with sofas, a cinema, pool and ping-pong tables, table football and a music room. You can also make use of the bookable dining room and a presentation and meeting space. To ensure your stay is as convenient as possible, there is a vending machine, outdoor social space, and quiet study areas.
St Vincent's Place offers you a studio option or an en-suite room. You have the choice of sharing a kitchen and living space with flatmates, whilst staying in an en-suite room or you can stay in a private studio with your own private kitchen.

St Vincent's Place doesn't have a gym but the University of Sheffield has Goodwin Sports Centre. This offers group fitness classes including yoga, cycling, LES MILLS classes with a range of experience levels. There are also over 100 fitness stations for cardio. fixed strenght, and a large free weights area. Goodwin Sports Centre is a 22 minute walk from St Vincent's Place :)

That's a great question!
Studios have their own postbox and the ensuites have a postbox per flat but not per room. The postboxes are in reception which is open 24/7 and all parcels are signed for at reception and safely locked away in our postroom. You just need to show ID then a memeber of staff will get it for you :)

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

The ensuite room size is really small there, you can find a studio accommodation with the same price. Everything else are just fine, no gym in social space.

I’ve had such an amazing time staying here! The place feels super safe, which made it easy to relax and enjoy my stay. The location is perfect !! Everything I needed was close by, making it so convenient to explore. But the best part? The common room! It’s such a vibrant and social space, full of energy and great people. it’s a lovely place to live, modern and clean facilities! my only problem is it’s right at the bottom of a massive hill, so bear that in mind if you have troubles walking! the bedrooms are spacious and modern bathrooms. beds are SO comfortable. maintenance respond in very timely fashion if there are any problems

Honestly the best accommodation I had in all my three years here. The entire building is surrounded by hills though so it’s a trek to get to lectures— other than that, pretty good!

The accommodation is worth the money, and the social spaces provided make staying at the accommodation while studying very interesting. However the WiFi has to be looked into to intense gaming

Really worth it for £93 per week. Wouldn’t pay the normal amount of around £180 per week. Disappointed they couldn’t take into consideration any of the wishes regarding flatmates, would have had a much better experience with exchange students (mainly female). Now I’m sharing with majority boys that are not very clean, which makes me not want to socialise.

I don’t know why the fire alarm keeps going on. It has not even been 1 month since I’m here but it went on 3 times. Please do something about it.

You can find the set day and times of which we conduct these testings advertised across our block notice boards, or speak to a member of reception who can advise you on when to expect the alarm.
Its what youd expect for city accommodation. Average price, very good location close to all shops. Some problems with maintenance, like a broken gate and problems with washing machines

For the money that I pay here I expected so much more. Other accommodations nearby offer more things like gyms and have bigger rooms for half the cost of what I am currently paying. I’ve also had to report my shower being clogged four times.

The experience has been excellent so far, Katniss was especially super helpful and was the receptionist who led me to my room first. The receptionists so far have been quite helpful, and have also helped me when the reception was closed. There are fun several events hosted by the receptionists, which are super enjoyable and are super calming and help with stress. The property has been maintained quite well so far. Overall it's been 10/10 in St Vincents

Do yourself a favour and don't come to live here. Other places are better and significantly cheaper. The rent is shockingly high for shockingly poor accommodation. When I moved in, I found the kitchen caked in old grease and the appliances not cleaned (covered in spills and greasy fingerprints, the toaster I won't even touch). I complained at reception who said they'd send in housekeeping, but nothing changed so far. The iron was broken and I had to complain about it twice, as the first time they told us the iron was fine. Oddly, they did replace the kettle, when that one was fine and just needed a clean. They also put bathroom air fresheners in the fridge, which left a lingering scent of toilet product that tainted my food for days after I took them out. Communal areas supposedly get cleaned, but I've yet to witness any evidence of that. We're all mature students in our kitchen so we've no problems cleaning our living space, but if we're paying for cleaning, cleaning should happen.
We are so sorry to hear that your stay at St Vincent's Place has not been as enjoyable as expected. Our teams work very hard to get rooms ready for students' arrivals, so we are disappointed to hear that your flat was not up to our standards. Our housekeeping team visited your flat the next morning to clean and replace the necessary appliances and sometimes we may need to request items that are not stocked on site, we are sorry that this has taken longer than anticipated. We know that students will have different arrival dates which can affect the standards of our kitchens, so we aim to start our kitchen cleans as soon as we can. We have started kitchen cleans from October to allow time for all students to check in and settle into their new homes. Our housekeeping team are working their way through every flat each week to make sure they are cleaned in line with our standards and policies, we can assure you that your kitchen will be cleaned throughout your stay. We can confirm that the air fresheners in the fridge are specifically designed for this, and we would never use cleaning items not fit for purpose. We use this to make sure that kitchens and fridges remain fresh for all student arrivals and have placed these in various fridges. Thank you for your feedback which is very important to us and encourages us to further better our service. The location of this accommodation is perfect for me, I am studying at the University of Sheffield and it is less than a 20 minute walk from most of the campus buildings. There is also 2 corner shops very close by.

Not too bad, the security is pretty good but the WiFi and the cleaning is soso. I can often see the litter in the elevator.

the fire alarm is quite tricky and the fire alarm test was organised in very early morning. But the ppl are really nice at the reception, and the social spaces are really big and lovely!

Thank you for your review! Our site is a 3min walk to the Internation College, 8mins to the Diamond, 13 mins to Weston Park, and 13mins to Kelham Island! It's in a lovely, quiet area of Sheffield with loads of foos stores around the building so you never have to walk for for your essentials and The Moor is only 15 mins away :) The site is staffed 24/7 with friendly staff members who are always on hand to help out!

Thanks for your review! Our stunning reception is a former Church and has a huge communal kitchen, cinema room, and study rooms upstairs! We also has a pool table, table tennis table, playstation and loads of boardgames! The spaces are open 24/7 and the site is also staffed all the time so there's always someone to talk to :) With all bills included, modern rooms, and great social spaces it's great value for money :)
WiFi is a bit temperamental but it's a lovely place.
Excellent local facilities and close proximity to the main university Campus while being cheaper than other closer Accommodation suppliers with better perks for residence.
The staff goes above and beyond to help and accommodate the needs of students. However, I have found the wifi to be quite unreliable.

For a foundation student, live in here is a very good choice.
Thank you for your review! St Vincent's Place is staffed 24/7 making it a really safe place to stay. We never charge for lock outs or lost keys and if you have any problems we are fast to respond. It's also only 9 minute walk to the Diamond so is great for those 9am lectures!
All the staff are friendly and helpful and things get sorted out quickly, the location is very convenient for walking to my lectures and the centre of town is an easy 10 minute walk away which is especially convenient

We are staffed 24/7 so there's always someone around to talk to, and our in house maintenance team also work 24/7 so issues get resolved quickly! The site is oly 9 minutes away from The Diamond and 18 minutes to the train station making it a great spot for students!

It's a great place to socialise and there are study spaces upstairs where you can do some university work. The site was only opened in 2018 and thanks to our 24/7 in house maintenance team and housekeepers, still looks amazing!

Great palace. Close to the University. Booked through the university so lots of social events were available via the University as well through Unite students. They do routine cleaning of the shared kitchen, other common places are cleaned regularly. Maintainance is quick, had a broken kettle it was replaced the next day with a new one. The freezer was not working they fixed the problem but it broke again; however, when complained again, it was replaced with a new one the the next working day. All maintainance issues are handled by the next working day.
Thank you for your review! Our site is only 10 minutes away from The Diamond and Information Commons, very handy for those early morning lectures and late night revision sessions! It's also close to Kelham Island and the centre of town making it great for socialising too! I'm glad you are happy with the response time of our maintenance team, they are on site Monday-Sunday to help resolve any issues so please don't hestiate to report issues! We provide a range of appliances such as vacuum cleaners, toasters, and kettles so no need to bring your own.
The staff are really kind and helpful! They run lots of events to encourage people to socialise, like painting tote bags. Everything’s in good condition and the rooms have a huge amount of storage space for all your things. The location’s really convenient, right in the middle of the city, it’s a ten minute walk away from the university (at most) and there’s two tram stops nearby. The only complaint I could possibly think of is that none of the dryers in the laundry rooms are particularly effective and clothes are usually still quite damp when you take them out.

They also sign for all parcels and store them safely in the locked post room so no need to worry about missing deliveries while out at lectures and if you get back late after a night out and have lost your key you won't have to wait to get a new one, plus we never charge for a lock out/lost key! We love running events here! Some of our favourites have been plant pot painting, biscuit making, and the ice cream sundae bar, we love putting these events on for students and really welcome any suggestions for what other events we should do! I'm sorry the Circuit Laundry dryers in our two laundry rooms aren't as good as they could be, if any break we arrange for Circuit to come out and fix them as soon as possible so you aren't having to wait long to do your washing.

Thank you for your review! Our accommodation is recently opened and has bright, modern rooms perfect for making it your home! Our reception and common area is a great place to study and hang out in, with study pods upstairs and a cinema room downstairs! St Vincent's is close to University buildings such as The Diamond and Hicks which are about 10 minutes away! It's also near two tram stops, Kelham Island, and the beautiful parks Sheffield has to offer :)
The reception and property management have ALWAYS been responsive and attentive! All English accommodation is incredibly small, so I live in what would be considered in the US as a walk-in closet! I have to admit, I've never seen the cleaners visit our flat area, therefore, we've had a lot of discussions about people not taking out the kitchen trash, someone keeps leaving their hair in the hallway and other people have had to vacuum/hoover the hallway and the kitchen continuously. There could be more reasonably priced washers and dryers (3,30 + 1,90 for one load each - Geez), and more of them too! 4 Machines (2 each) in my building for more than 125 people. It's incredibly, REALLY. But, my perspective is slanted towards a US version of dorm life, so ... take it with a grain of salt.
The reception staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, there's safe post storage and the common room is always clean. I really love using the common space to study in, and there's also study rooms, music room and social areas as well as a communal kitchen. The facilities are great. The wifi can be a bit odd sometimes, so you can't always access it in the common room, and I think there's meant to be cleaners in the flats but they visit so irregularly and rarely I think. Otherwise though, it's been the best accommodation I've been in!

Lovely public area and reception service is very nice
Thank you for your review! We love our beautiful reception and common room area, the Church makes it so unique! It's cleaned everyday to ensure it always looks its best and is decorated for events such as Ramadan, Pride, Christmas, and Valentine's Day! The common room has a communal kitchen which is great for hosting friends and cooking together! We also have a cinema room with full size projector that can be connected to your laptop, it's great for film nights and live sporting events! The modern rooms have loads of storage and big windows! Our reception staff love talking to students and are always on site to help you with any issues, we never charge for lock outs/lost keys and safely store away all parcels so they are waiting for you when you get in. We love running events for students such as free breakfasts and canvas painting :)
Everything except the cleaning was great, perfect for a first year hall. We didn't have a cleaner come into our flat often, and it wasn't clear when she was meant to come.
Really love the studio of St. Vincent’s!! The staffs in reception are all nice!! Problems can be fixed as soon as possible!! Really enjoy living at St. Vincent’s Place ♡

The site is always staffed so there is always someone on site, very handy if you need to collect a parcel or are locked out! Our maintenance team work Monday-Sunday so issues are resolved quickly, we even keep a stock of appliances like toasters, microwaves, and mops on site so they can be replaced immediately if they break! I'm pleased to hear you are enjoying your studio, the studios have a double bed and full kitchen so you can unwind after a long day at uni!
The internet is difficult to connect to, and can be quite slow. The facilities are good, and cleaners keep shared areas quite clean, despite that i think it’s still expensive for what is provided. some social activities are put on though which are nice.
The experience has been great overall the staff are very friendly and are always ready to help with any concerns. The accommodation is in a very convenient location

The studio is spacious and good .They respond if there is any issue.The only thing was bathroom was not clean when I got the place.Everything else is good

We have our own maintenance team that work hard to ensure problems get fixed as quickly and efficiently as possible and reception is always staffed to help with any issues! The internet did not let me connect to ea servers on my Xbox so I could not play online on fifa

It's a great site for socialising as we have a large common room with a communal kitchen, cinema room, and table tennis table. We also run events which is a great way to meet other residents! Being so close to the centre of town and beautiful parks like Weston Park is great :)
The prices of the accommodation could be lower and hope to have better cleaning team, or more often cleaning for the accommodation.
It is very good place for foundation student because it is very near to the college and have many activities to join in free time. However, it is better to repair things faster or tell us the reason of delay.
Very good for socialising and getting to know other people. Kitchen is also good and spacious

The stunning reception area is open 24/7 and includes a communal kitchen, cinema room, and comfy sofas. Unite Students also run really fun events so you can easily meet people in other flats and blocks. The kitchens in ensuites also have comfy sofas so you can socialise without even having to leave your flat :) They have loads of cupboards too so there won't be any fights over storage!

We have a communal kitchen and cinema room which can be booked out, perfect for having friends over! Our beautiful reception and common room is so unique, it's great to show it off to friends! We also have table tennis, table football, pool, and a variety of boardgames in our common room which is open 24/7 so it's a great place to hang out!
it’s a lovely place to live with lots of accessibility the people are so lovely and the receptionists are always helpful - ruby is so lovely especially for having the tote bag painting sessions on - it makes me happy :)
Good value for the money paid and fun events held at reception. Maintenance could be slightly better as takes a while to fix things.

Some of the events we have done include- chocolate bar making, baking biscuits, make your own pizza, ice cream sundae bar, tote bag making, plant pot painting, movie nights, friendship bracelet making, mini canvas painting, and a free book giveaway for International Women's Day! Our events are always free and we really enjoying getting to know our residents at them :) Our reception area is open 24/7 and has a communal kitchen and cinema room which are perfect for events! Students are welcome to book these spaces too!

Thank you for your review! The ensuite kitchens and corridors are cleaned once every two weeks by our wonderful Housekeeping Team! They also care excellent care of our communal spaces such as the communal kitchen, cinema, and study rooms :) The rooms here are super modern with three quarter beds in the ensuites and double beds in the studios

Wonderful staff and environment with a study area for hardworking students. A lot of opportunities around the area as it’s close to the main campus. Events held for representative holidays (christmas, easter, valentines, new years etc) and are usually entertaining for multiple hours with many activities. Really friendly and welcoming staff!

Thank you for the feedback! Our outdoor space has full wifi coverage making it the perfect place to sit out in the summer and relax in! While it does have some brushes and trees, flowers would be a beautiful addition to the grounds of the former Church! St Vincent's Place is only a 10 minute walk away from the Winter Gardens, a peaceful greenhouse in the centre of town that includes an art gallery! Sheffield is one of the greenest cities in the UK and has lots of parks, perfect for nature lovers!

Firstly the common room is not very clean , also both of ping-pong and pool table are broken, however the receptionist are so amazing , helpful, and kind , my favorite one is Faduma such a wonderful women that helped me a lot , they take all the reports seriously such as mine .
This is a very expensive place which doesn’t fix their common room games equipments . However , they always resolve other issues such as kitchen hygienes by the cleaning ladies who do exceptionally well at their job along with maintenance guy who does everything for us and he even fixed my shower really well as well as my door knob (sorry I forgot his name but he looks very old and tall with greyish hair and so many keys dangling from him) . In addition, one of the receptionist who’s called Faduma is very friendly and always ensures that we are keeping safe and we are doing okay as well as keeping us feel comfortable and welcomed and to have her as a person we go to for anything .
A nice location but for the price we give, it doesn't give us the best value. However, staff members are friendly, especially Faduma. She is a lovely lady who is always ready to help us out. Common area is honestly so bad. The pool table and ping pong table are broken. I urge you to repair them.All in all, I really like the location So if the prices could go down a bit, it would be very nice.
