The accommodation is great and so far so good! Aside from the ongoing pandemic that has taken away the social experience everything else is good. The management is super friendly, always ready to assist. The wifi is strong, plenty of social space, location is not so central but bus stop is nearby and always looking forward to Fridays for free goodies :)

The unhelpfulness of management really lets the place down. Most other uni halls have offered rent reductions or some sort of other negotiation with tenants, however we have all been told the same line of "negotiations are taking place regarding a potential refund" for months. I regret not choosing accommodation that my other friends went to now due to greedy landlords. Plus the security are too strict and make you feel as if you are a prisoner rather than a Tennant where you're paying for a service. Other than that, the rooms are nice, fairly modern, easy access to bus stops and wifi is good.
Great first year experience, Management were so helpful and I’d definitely recommend 😊
great location and price, staffs are friendly and helpful. Very good experience living at Slade Park
No cleaning service, takes a while to get into uni, Cowley and town so location is very poor. Lack of social spaces/ all unavailable to use. Get told off for having smoke outside after certain time. Other accommodation must better value for money.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Just to elaborate on a few of your points: -All communal areas are cleaned every week and we provide cleaning materials in every kitchen. -There's no curfew for smoking in the courtyard as long as noise is kept to a minimum after 11pm. -We can't wait to open up all our social spaces again as soon as the current lockdown is over!
Excellent experience. I would highly recommend

Slade park is a very comfortable place to live in halls, with friendly staff, especially Ryan who is always there to help. Always clean and amazing WiFi, it could however benefit from additional social spaces.
It’s an amazing space to live in
It’s been fabulous living here so far. The staff who manage the complex go above and beyond for the students who live here - I cannot fault the staff at all, especially Ryan and Angelina. The complex is always kept clean and tidy, your post is always delivered safely to reaction with no issues - plus, they host plenty of social events and give you plenty of free food items! Slade Park is a wonderful complex to live in, I’d highly recommend it!
Nice place! Bery close to Aldi and Co-op. Friendly staff and very helpful
Amazing place. Well located, good value for your money. Would definitely recommend!
This is my second year staying at Slade Park and I love it! A 2 minute walk away from Aldi and a 7 min walk from the Coop, a post office, pharmacy and a few other food shops it’s in a great location! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the rooms all come equipped with everyone a uni student might need!! Only a 10 min bus drive from Brookes I’ve really enjoyed my two years staying here!! Thank you
Best accommodation to stay, Ryan, Angelina and security first class! A family away from home.
Friendly staff, good value for money.
To be fair it’s alright. Probably more social life at other university accommodations but, the rooms are nice and a good size. Met some great mates here. Both management, Ryan and Angelina are very accommodating and nice. Only downside I can really say is more for the management of slade park, where through the Covid-19 pandemic there has been no rent reduction, just like how Unite Students or University managed halls have had theirs reduced. But overall a decent place to stay

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! Rest assured that talks are ongoing with the new landlords regarding a potential refund/discount for those residents who are not able to return to their rooms. Slade Park Accommodation Team
Fantastic - Myself and my partner stayed at Slade Park with CRM for one year whilst we were both studying. It is very well situated, has bus routes to all of the Oxford Brookes campuses and is also very conveniently placed to get into the centre of town. There are shops near by and a pub over the road, its is also a short drive to the ring road which gives you easy access all over and out of Oxford. Slade Park has the right balance of social and bright but also quiet and non-distracting when it needs to be. There is always something going on especially around celebrations such as a cake day, Halloween and around Christmas (On pancake day, they gave us free pancake mixture and Lemon juice, at Christmas everyone got candy canes and on Halloween everyone got sweets. Slade park also has its own study room and TV room which is a great pace to socialise and is conveniently placed next to the washing machine room so you can watch TV, do work or socialise whilst you wait for your washing
Students please choose somewhere else in Oxford there are many options so please stay clear. The company took full advantage during COVID to do huge building works leaving students trapped. International students doing Master's degrees were promised they could stay Sept- end of Sept. Now they have changed their minds and are making students pay an extra 17 weeks. Management are poor and it takes a lot of e-mailing back and forth to get anything solved. Make good choices and all the best with your studies!
Money grabbing and sparse. Only use as a last resort, as the landlord is clearly out to suck as many sheckels out of their student cash cows, armed with their parents credit cards. You will most likely be charged for some stupid wall painting fee by virtue of breathing too closely to it during your tenure here. HOWEVER, the free cokes and bananas that one time were noice man.
The walls are thick yet you can hear everything through the doors and the ventilation in the bathroom is connected to the ventilation system in the kitchen and the other bathrooms, so the smell from other people's food travels into your bedroom (very unpleasant when the food doesn't smell good). Hall management was a life saver due to bad luck with flatmates. You have to take at least a 10 minute bus where ever you go, 30 minutes to the centre. I would not choose this accommodation as a first choice.
The experience at Slade Park was terribile.
Terrible place, terrible experience.
It's a large building that looks like a barracks. But what is terrible is the distance from Oxford. It's far away in the outkirt, 30 minutes of bus to the centre. Wonder how can you live with everything so distant. And it is also difficult to experience the life of the town. How can be such a place considered suitable for a student?
Only double bed in ox thank you
It’s very fun, but just a bit too far from uni and town
For the amount we pay having no cleaners is utter b******
Despite putting in multiple notes asking for something to be fixed, they have continued to ignore my notices. Said the oven looks fine despite it tripping a fuse every time. Don’t take responsibility for the dryers because they won’t dry your bedding and these will take 5 days after washing to dry in your room. Nice room but a terrible location if you study at Wheatley.
A bit out the way but lovely people.
Pretty good, there’s better halls around but there’s a nice sense of community.
Slade Park has been the best decision I have made in my 3 years of university life! I wish I moved here sooner. I lived in other halls of residence for the fisrt year and it was expensive, not even worth the money and nit fun at all. My second year I moved into a shared house which Is a common mistake most students make. Stay in halls during your whole course! Believe me is so much better, not having to worry about paying extra bills, security 24/7, and more. I strongly recommend Slade Park Halls Oxford. The management team does an amazing job always making sure everyone feels at home. Always running giveaways, or special events like Chinese New year and so on! I couldn’t be happier to be living in slade. Great People!
Living at Slade Park made my first year unforgettable, it's undoubtedly the best halls in my mind for a few simple reasons: It's a little away from campus which sounds like a chore but it also means that people from Slade and Paul Kent stick together and form great bonds. I've made great friends with people from Slade even though I didn't particularly like any of my flat mates, it's super easy to make friends at Slade and there's always pre's somewhere. Halls are great, rooms are great, you always feel safe and a new Aldi just opened up right next to it so booze and cheap food are walking distance away. All in all, I think Slade is the obvious choice when looking for halls at Brookes.
I really enjoyed my time at Slade Park. I think for any Oxford Brookes University student it's easily the best value for money accommodation in Oxford. My room quickly became my home shortly after moving in and I felt very comfortable whilst living there. The kitchen came stocked with all the basic appliances (toaster, kettle etc.) but I did have to get all my own plates & pans etc. There's a really modern communal area which is a great place to meet up before heading out for the night & I particularly enjoyed the big private courtyard between the blocks, especially when the sun was out! The staff were always friendly & helpful and on more than 1 occasion went above and beyond to help me out. When I moved in I found that they had also put a few welcome gifts in all the rooms which was nice and unexpected. They also held events in the communal area and ran competitions throughout the year. The bus stop is right on the doorstep so it was never a worry getting to uni on time and if
They will fine you for anything, so expensive
Overall experience has been ok, being a fresher and placed with 3rd and 4th year international students has at times made it awkward with parties and their work, I have subsequently had to spend a lot of time away from Slade park where other friends live which involves a lot of travel and the bus service is horrific. The flat itself is amazing, modern, double bed and large sized en-suite rooms do make up for its location. paying over £150.00 per week is ridiculous for what you actually get, a shoddy bus service, a long way from the city centre, uni and in a poor location of Oxford.
I really like living at Slade, my flatmates are really nice and something no ones really mentioned is how great the sound proofing is. I get up early and was really worried my hair dryer would wake people up but no one heard it! A lot of people are complaining about the room checks but to be honest I think these people were expecting to be treated like guests in a hotel. Yes they do room inspections but these could be a lot worse! I used to live in a boarding house and the staff here are so much nicer. I will say that for all the threats we got about fines for damages when I arrived there were a few that hadn't been sorted out. A broken lampshade and someones hook left on the wall. It is a little out of the way but most of the accommodations are since the majority are on the same road. It's near to Pall Kent so I can visit friends. I will say the bus service isn't great but you're only 30mins from Headington campus so it just takes a little bit of time management and you're okay.
Only issue is location and cost
Pretty bad, when I arrived there was blood on the ceiling and lampshade, shower didn't work, windows didn't close. 4 weeks in and my radiator still doesn't work.
Good location 10 minuets from the main campus. The laundry is quite expensive and the flats themselves are quite secluded so socialising can be a problem. But the rooms and shared areas are very modern and a good size and the staff are great!
Slade Park is a good hall, it's modern with generously sized rooms and kitchens but for a hefty price. The common room is also good with a pool table, ping-pong, and a football table although there is only 1 for the whole accomodation and the clothes washing facilities are very expensive.
looks all well and good in photos but very expensive
Really nice halls and nicely furbished. Just a bit out of the way, nothing too bad though.
Lived there for 1 year, good experience, met lots of great people, still friends with most of them, not the best location but it's good!
Such modern furnishings, double bed, ensuite and large desk.
As one of the most expensive student halls, Slade Park is rather crappy. The internet connection is only 4 Mbps (compared to 100+ of nearly all other halls), and it is fairly out of the way. If you have to study at Wheatley campus, the U5X is quite a terrible bus service (buses themselves are great), with irregular timings. Even getting to Headington Campus on the U5 is bad enough. You don't really see the hall management. Every so often, they will come round and do a room inspection (whether or not you're in), which can be at 9AM (and even if you're asleep, they will still demand that they come in, and only give you a minute or two to get dressed). There is no provided cleaning, unlike other halls. This can be bad if you yourself are a tidy person, but have an untidy flatmate, as it means that to avoid fines for a messy kitchen, you either have to do their cleaning, or have a shouting match with them. There is a single common room not much bigger than your kitchen. It's rubbish.
maintenance is great, all staff are friendly and get to know them. no cleaners but get inspections every now and again would live here again!
very expensive, no cleaning service at all, and lazy hall management. location a long way from the university for the money, and poor management of issues as they arise.
Internet is terrible but asides to that, all not to bad - great management - Matt does a great job!
The rooms are fantastic, huge desks, beds and floor space. The flat kitchen/living-room is great, but a little small for 6 people. No cleaners though and the location is quite out of the way, which would be alright if the buses weren't always so unpredictable.
Really nice rooms with ensuite and a large kitchen with sofas but a bus ride away from both the campus and the city centre. Also far from a supermarket.
Nice bedrooms but the living space was small and unfriendly.
brilliant accommodation just a bit far away
