Computing, BSc Hons FullTime

Honestly, this course could be so much better. But it's full of far more useless and/or lazy tutors than there are good/decent tutors. If you actually want to learn something useful, you're better of doing it all from online courses. As that's effectively what I had to do. Much of the material provided was awful and out-dated. For a technology course, this should not be the case. Some coursework marking felt as though it was just given out randomly to look like legitimate overall marks, as some modules had overly simple coursework that would mean all students are handing in identical coursework, how this produced such varied marks amazes me. Some modules would give a marking scheme when coursework is issued, some would not, making it near impossible to determine what is actually being asked, or what needs to be done. This review isn't even out of spite, I got a 1st. But it needs to change. A lot of wasted time with awful lectures from lecturers who've had no real world experience. read more

As I'm a RUK student I'm paying high fees, but other than that the course has been great, maybe a bit more broad than I would have expected but still enjoy the course and hope to graduate this year with a 1st or 2.1 read more
