noticed a dramatic drop in quality from first year to second year, when you would think they would prioritise us. Given tutors who do not have a clue about the subject area (they tell us this), and nothing is done despite numerous complaints, we feel like we have to teach ourselves. Low contact hours mean you are just dropped into it. Personal tutor is in name only, you do not have any contact with them at all. Sessions often finish earlier than planned and you sit there feeling like there is no value for money at all which is frustrating. Can be treated like school children at times. Poor organisation of the law school due to self-confessed lack of staff. Despite this, law at Durham offers good careers prospects and an excellent careers team. read more
