it was so dull i couldn't take it anymore and I dropped out. Philosophy was challenging but boring, and english was easy but dull af. don't recommend at all.

Most of the modules are great, but some can be dreary. Seen my personal tutor once though, so would not recommed on that basis.

Not enough contact time - barely any in fact. About 7 hours a week of classes. All my friends on other courses get about 15 hours at the very least a week. It sometimes just feels like I'm paying £9,000 a year for a few hours of just open discussion. More contact time required. However, the teaching quality is top class and fantastic.

Very broad, varied course, which really stretches you, and encourages you to study things you'd never considered before. Excellent research department and this is reflected in the (mostly) brilliant lecturers and tutors. Interesting emphasis on being a 'global' department, with opportunities to take modules in foreign literature (ranging from complete beginners-Post-Alevel), which I really enjoyed. Assessed mainly by coursework (which is great if, like me, you despise the pressure of / poor quality essays produced by closed-exams).
