A great course - challenging from time to time - but that is just what uni is. Most modules can be individually chosen and thus most modules are interesting.

Economics/Politics (Equal), BA Hons

By On 10th August 15

Outstanding choice over modules in third year, and a good deal of choice in second year. You can really specialise and avoid maths to a degree if you don't want to pursue the mathematical stream of Economics (like me)! Politics gets much more interesting after your first year which requires compulsory courses, but you are able to choose everything from your second year.

Tough course and a bit dry in parts but overall very well taught and should give you the tools you need for a related job in the future.

Environment, Economics and Ecology, BSc Hons

By On 19th November 15

Course covers a lot of real world issues with lecture content changing and updating as issues and solutions to issues are created. Knowledgeable lecturers who are keen to help to solve any issues and are interested in the progress as students as individuals. Very unique course so provides great job prospects. Would summarise it as learning about global environmental issues but, uniquely, from an economic pov. 1st year provides basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, statistics, economics and maths, and some environmental issues.

Course is well set out. Challenging in first year really making it enjoyable as not repetitive like A levels. Actually involved thinking!

After first year, the teachers are amazing and passionate. It's so much easier to learn when the person teaching you actually cares deeply about their subject. Content could be more diverse but there still a decent range in philosophy and politics.

The course itself is interesting, engaging and well taught. If you find yourself debating politics or philosophy in class at school, you'll likely enjoy studying PPE.
