Forensic Science, BSc Hons
This is the cheapest version of the course they could offer. Poorly thought through and barely delivered. We do the same practicals over and over again for 3 years because they're cheap and easy. We don't get the experience or education we need to go into any other science career. Some staff seem to care about us as individuals but almost all of them don't care about teaching. No communication between staff so we get taught the same lectures/content over and over again resulting in no progression. We get to the end of the degree and ask "what have we actually learned in 3 years?". Constructive feedback is almost non-existent because they only care if you're at the lower end of the spectrum and will make them look bad. Lecturers simply can't be bothered doing their jobs, complacent, lazy and wouldn't even be qualified for the job if they applied for it today. They force their research interests on us even though they offer no value to the course; they just want to talk about themselves.
Computer and Digital Forensics, BSc Hons
For the most part this course is not bad, however the course leader tends to be rather all over the place and does not get across things such as deadlines and work content properly, especially for someone who supposedly works in the intelligence sector outside of lecturing at the university (or so he says anyway). My personal tutor is also rather abysmal considering he has not bothered to organise any meetings since freshers week even though he has apologised multiple times saying he would soon. Course content itself is rather interesting, covering a wide base of subjects within the field which for the most part will all prove useful in future endeavours.
