I have really enjoyed my time on this course, coming out of each module feeling more confident and ready than when I went in. The teachers are fantastic and are always there to help you out when you need it.
Concept art has a great variety of things to do, from 2D to 3D to fashion as well, you can do anything. From the Film industry to Game industry, there are so many things that the tutors will help you with, they will be there to give advice on any type of career your aiming for, tutors are available any time needed, emails will be answered the minute the tutors are available. The course is definitely great for money, the equipment needed are either available in the campus or quite affordable to get from online or at the Student Union shop.
The standards are way too low, the quality of work to attain a pass is horrendous, there’s not really much reason to attend the classes at all, I came to the uni to learn, almost everything I’ve learnt since I taught myself.
The course was pretty good, the lecturers were amazing and they had some really good equipment. There is always something to do but if you don't have something to do digital work at home then you will have to go into the rooms all the time. In the lectures they sometimes did live sessions which were a lot of fun. Personally, the course wasn't for me and everyone I knew left to do something different but that's more to do with the uni itself and the surrounding area
In my specific course, all you learn you can learn online and just practice your skills at home, but here you have the motivation to actually do it instead of just lazing around, teachers are nice and have experience in the industry but maybe due to the few hours of practicals and lectures combined I don't feel like I learn that many new things that I hadn't already seen on youtube. The facilities and the networking are the best parts in my opinion, since you always have a computer with all the software for everything, and you get to meet people with the same interest in carrers as you but then again I think those 2 apply to any University out there.
Degrees in general seem really overpriced but the course content is good even if theres little contact time. Staff are supportive when you need them and most tutors make the course content interesting.
An amazing course, the teaching quality is outstanding. Lecturers are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and will actively go out of their way to help their students. This course is everything it should be and more. I have picked up a vast array of skills by my second year and even been offered paid work as a result of what I have learned from this course.
