Modern Languages, BA Hons
By member544211 On 4th December 19We always get told by incoming careers people that we don't even need a degree in languages. We have very little language exposure during our course. I don't think my level is good enough really. Extremely expensive for what you get. 3 hours of a language a week isn't enough. Tutors are really nice.
Modern Languages, BA Hons
By member1122650 On 26th May 162 (French and Dutch) out of the 3 languages I study have been taught well, I felt I could ask for help and wasn't put off by the fact that 1 of these languages (Dutch) was a totally new language for me. I felt encouraged in both of these languages. However the 3rd language (Portuguese) has been the most difficult experience in my life- I would only recommend it to those who have an extreme passion for learning this language and a very strong drive, because I felt very disheartened in most of the classes due to a much higher level of expectation that the teachers had in this language compared to my other beginner language.
