First year student - There’s lots of opportunities to try a variety of facilities during this course. The lectures are interesting and we have 2 artist speaker lectures a week, which is great for inspiration. The tutors are lovely and will try help as much as possible, however sometimes communication isn’t always great between tutors. We usually have 1 crit session a week which helps you get talking about and critiquing yours and others work. We’ve been on a free trip to Glasgow at the start of the year which is a great way to get to know other students and get inspired for the year ahead. It will seem quite difficult at first if you’re coming in straight from college, so don’t worry if you’re feeling overwhelmed, because I guarantee the majority of the other students are too.
