Good place for students especially when they are new to this country
Human Biology, BSc Hons
By member938821 On 3rd June 19Lecturers were good, some better than others. They were a great support and always willing to go the extra mile to help. In terms pf jobs, its quite a wide degree so theres a range of pathways to go down, mostly need to specialise in a masters to go further
Love the course! Great lectures
The physiotherapy course is fairly intense but i think that it's worthwhile for the end result of a very likely job prospect plus getting maximum value for money. The teaching quality is super with all lectures willing to help, and personal tutors always their if you are struggling.
A highly interesting course, besides its intensity and the how demanding it can be.

By member1342277 On 18th September 19Describes the course content prior to the lectures so can start to research into it before the lecture. Value for money as the assist where possible, some provide the paperwork whilst others don’t but that doesn’t bother me as use tablet anyway. The explain in great detail in the lectures, give examples for where to search for further information, whilst also explaining in different ways if students don’t understand as clearly as others.

By KWalker95 On 11th September 19Excellent teaching and most students have job/further education (masters, Phd, teaching) following graduation. Course content good in first two years. Final year have choices limited. Placement year excellent opportunity and eased final year workload. Is accredited by royal society of biology

By member442046 On 9th September 19The personal tutor wasn’t as helpful as the name suggests. The meetings would be abrupt and even though he tried to cover what other personal tutors covered it would be helpful if they gave more educational support. The course content was quiet interesting and the teaching quality was of great standard
The course structure needs to be updated but the staff members are really nice.
Teaching is good mostly, the course is as expected, the facilities are good

Biomedical Science, BSc Hons
By member716265 On 3rd October 15At college I barely revised during my first year, I simply wasn't engaged by my harder subjects and the easier ones I didn't need to revise for. In the first week I did more than 6 hours of revision a day without getting bored, burning out or slowing down...it's an interesting topic and if that doesn't prove it I don't know what will.

Very few labs this year. Tutor is amazing and they really help you with everything
Horrific. Reusing old lectures, so not really sure what the lecturers are doing with their spare time and are constantly striking. Iffy job prospects because the NHS placement idea wasn't pushed enough and the value of this was not fully informed. Some absolutely amazing lecturers though. Liz Allen, Sarah Forbes, Laura Cole and Adrian Hall to name a few.
Offer a nice placement in hospital
Good, broad course, offers many prospects for future by guaranteeing a understanding of all aspects of the human body.
My degree has been amazing so far and have enjoyed the mixture of placements and teaching throughout a very tough period of covid.
Really good course. Interesting modules. Labs are good - stressful and long though but overall they are interesting and fun.

My experience so far has been good, I’m learning a lot and enjoying my course. Some aspects could be improved, such as consistently changing timetables, but I understand we are in the midst of a pandemic and do have to make adjustments.
Considering COVID regulations, it has been hard. The course is extremely hands-on and it's a struggle with the online learning however they have timetabled as many in-person lessons as possible, as well as allowing the use of study rooms with plinths, skeletons, and other equipment so we can do group revision with the equipment.
Poor amount of teaching time in person
Only in 1st year bit enjoying it so far . Good resources available
Okay course quality. Some lecturers are fantastic others not so much. Many job opportunities however, getting a job is much harder.

By member1352191 On 17th November 20Made easy and safe during COVID-19. All the lectures and lab sessions are set out well
Actually I am in a master degree but this website didn't allow me to fill in this way. As I am an international student, I didn't really feel supported. My advisor is not responsive and helpful. Sometime my exam being postpone and postpone. I was really stressed at that time.
