Physics with Space Science and Technology, BSc Hons

There’s a few things that could be better but you couldn’t ask for a more open and supportive department. The course is well structured and thought through. Lecturers are mostly engaging.

A very strong aspect of this course was the tutoring system, I was in a small group of 5/6 with a tutor where we could review what we’d learnt within that weeks unit, and also have a general well-being discussion

A very heavy work load degree but you get the time from the staff that you pay for. Would be nice to have some personalised resources.

Physics with Space Science and Technology, MPhys

By Conanmurg On 27th March 19

The course is amazing and the lecturers are brilliant. They manage to keep the lectures interesting whilst also making it easy to learn the content. Additionally, the space center is right down the road from campus and so the university has multiple space related projects that can improve job prospects. The university is very well known for its space science course and thus finding a job in the space sector is significantly easier.

The department provides a really friendly and supportive atmosphere, which really helps when you are stuck. They have an open door policy, which means you can go see any academic for help if they are in. The department also has a common room that anyone can use during the day and plenty of space for studying. In terms of the staff, they tend to teach stuff that is related to their research, so it's all really relevant and you get to talk to the experts.
