4 Initial teacher training reviews at Durham University
Primary Education, BA Hons
This is a really challenging course. Be prepared to do a lot more than other students who study this programme at other universities will. If you're willing to work it is really rewarding. You learn about modern strategies that a lot of other trainee teachers don't learn in other institutions and most of the staff are great. The ratings in the NUS survey for 2018 through to 2020 will however, probably be low as the course moved to a different campus and as a result there was a lot less organisation. However, now that the course has settled in Durham the stats will go up again and the students in earlier years are really enjoying it. Don't come to study here if you aren't prepared to work. Overall, it is a very good course.
