Don’t study mechanicall engineering in Coventry if you honestly want to get some knowledge. Most of the lecturers don’t even speak understandable english, and no, it’s not because of the accent. For a price that you pay for studies, they should actually pay to you to come to study here, because of the quality of studies. Most lecturers read slides for you and seems that they do not understand themselves what they are reading about as if you ask them a question they’re not able to answer. Also you only study 20 weeks a year, revise for 2 weeks and write exams 2 weeks in a YEAR! You can already imagine how much you can learn in 20 weeks when during that time you also need to write 10-12 courseworks:) read more

Value for money is hard to discern as I attended in the 20/21 period when covid is prevalent. The academic staff (e.g. lecturers and professors) are honest, hard-working and valuable. No complaints from me. You do not get a personal tutor. You'll get an email at the start of the year telling you who they are, but they will email you saying they aren't tutoring this year, good luck, and then leave. It is what it is. Course content and job prospects are good. It's engineering, the world will always need engineering, it's that simple. read more

The lecturers are amazing and really put the time and effort in, if you show that you are genuinely interested. They offer drop in sessions alongside the lectures and seminars. There's a variety of staff for each module, with different availabilities so you can approach them if you don't understand a particular lecturers teaching style. The facilities are great and some are exclusive to cov uni like the F1 simulator and the harrier jet! The facilities are available for students to use and get hands on experience as coventry has a practical led learning initiative. As students, we are equipped with skills that make us ready for industry and quite often we're on the top of the list for job prospects, as they know Coventry Uni produces some great practical thinking graduates. read more
