Law with Politics and International Relations, LLB Hons FullTime
The academic experience at Cardiff University can be quite mixed and often depends on the module leaders and personal tutors. Some personal tutors are proactive and maintain regular communication with students, while others are less involved. The lecture content is generally interesting and engaging, although I personally prefer smaller lectures, as they allow for a more interactive learning experience. The quality of delivery varies considerably between modules, with some lecturers being much more effective at communicating the material than others. In terms of value for money, this is difficult to assess objectively, but as an international student, I find the tuition fees ridiculously expensive in comparison to the overall academic experience. While there are certainly positive aspects to studying here, I believe there is room for greater consistency in teaching quality and student support. read more

I expected a bit more, perhaps more communication with lecturers, more interaction in class, and homework. Fees for international students could be very expensive read more

University in general is never going to feel value for money given we pay nearly £10,000 for it. I would say my course was interesting and made me want to engage in the lectures, and workshops. It did, however, feel repetitive at times as we covered the same topics across several different modules. The teaching quality varied across different lecturers and workshop leaders with some being obviously enthusiastic about the content, whilst others not so much. Job prospects is also something that is hard to be optimistic about, not because my course is not sufficient in teaching me the right things to get a job, but because the job market in general is really competitive read more
