DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY LEARN OR GET GOOD GRADES. I'm in computer science they advertise 12 hour weeks but my timetable barely averages 9, most of your work is marked by your tutor and each tutor wants wildly different things so make sure your work is tailored to your tutor, but be careful brunel will change your tutor at will, even a week after a deadline then your new tutor marks your old work and shreads everything the old tutor advised, and don't expect any kind of experience from your tutor as they range anything from a senior lecturer to a PhD student who most didn't even come from a computer science undergrad so it's complete luck. Then there's the group work be prepared to have your grades dragged through the ones that want a free ride because you will have to do their work for them aswell. And once all of that is done pray that your tutor bothers to actually read your work, cos mine didn't every comment is wrong so now have to appeal my grade. read more

Games Design, BA Hons FullTime

Honestly overall this course was really enjoyable. I have a personal dislike of the first year software we use to make the game but otherwise I loved the lectures and the people on my course. The courses are super interactive so bear in mind you might have to speak up about ideas or game related opinions. It focuses on creativity as well as theory behind games and fanbase etc. I haven't heard anyone complain about their personal tutor, and they're usually very happy to talk to you about anything. There AREN'T a lot of lectures! Most of it is coursework and maybe 2-3 long two hour lectures a week, but you'll spend most your time in the labs anyway. HOWEVER BE WARNED....as a designer you have to eventually be comfortavble in pitching and presenting your own game ideas in front of people so if you absolutely HATE public talking then I'd advise against taking this course. In second year you're allowed to specialise art, tech, design or theory. read more

Digital Design, BSc Hons FullTime

Personally I think most creative skills I was taught in this specific course (Adobe Creative) I could've learnt through online tutorials if I dedicated the time. However I did learn alot when it comes to making decisions that regard potential customers, how to keep up with the modern technology world and how to write a professional paper about it. read more
