After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked full-time as a psychologist in my home country for two years to make it possible to attend Bournemouth University. I am currently supporting myself here through my own means. I am incredibly excited to have found such a fantastic university—it has truly made all my efforts worthwhile. I have been pleasantly surprised by the opportunities available here; the university has thoughtfully provided resources to ensure we don’t feel socially isolated, to offer support for daily living, and even to look after our psychological well-being. My current goal is to find a part-time job and balance it alongside my coursework, internship, and thesis. I genuinely enjoy being hardworking—it helps me develop remarkable skills—and living in the UK offers a wonderful opportunity for personal growth. Thank you for reading. read more

The university has excellent Careers Service and an Academic Skills Hub. As someone who took a gap year before masters, I have found these services very beneficial in order to catch up on my studies. The campus is very welcoming and well-equipped both for lectures and leisure time. Students Union and Societies have been very proactive so far. I have seen/attended events every week so far whether for academic improvement or socializing purposes. read more

6 months in and I truly enjoy being a BU student. The course work and learning environments are probably my favourite thing. The faculty is super interactive and genuinely interested in their students not to mention the extensive resources available off and online. I'm not so keen on the social stuff mainly because of scheduling issues but there is a variety of activities to dive into and it is just a wholesome experience. read more
