The rooms are amazing and the facilities honestly offer more than you could ask for as a student. Everything is modern, clean, and really well maintained. But the best part of living here is definitely the staff, every single staff member is so lovely, always greets you with a smile, and is super approachable whenever you need help. My geniune only complaint about BCU is the cleaniness on campus. They simply need to hire more cleaners. I've been on both city centre and city south campus and the issue runs through both. The toilets aren't cleaned enough, the librarys aren't cleaned enough. There's overflowing bins and rubbish laying everywhere, on tables, under tables. The issue is worse on city centre campus. Everything else is 10/10 however. The staff are fabulous, so helpful. read more

I’m really enjoying my second year at university. The careers help has been great and the facilities to use on campus are accessible and useful, especially the production studios which are a necessity to use for my course which is film production. Everyone is very kind including the lecturers and there’s plenty to do every day. read more

Birmingham City University
Birmingham City University is a good place to study, especially for students who want practical learning. The teachers are helpful and try to support students in their studies. Many courses focus on real-life skills, which helps students prepare for jobs in the future. The university has modern buildings and good facilities like libraries, computer labs, and study spaces. Students can also join different clubs and societies, which makes university life more fun and social. The location of Birmingham City University is also a big advantage. Birmingham is a busy and diverse city, so students can experience different cultures, food, and opportunities for part-time jobs. However, like every university, it has some challenges. Sometimes classes can be crowded, and communication may not always be perfect. But overall, most students have a positive experience. In simple words, Birmingham City University is a good choice for students who want quality education, practical skills. read more

I am currently studying part time on Birmingham City University's MSc Applied Psychology course, and I could not recommend it or the staff higher. They go above and beyond to support the students on the course through assignments, course work, and are there to help and refer you (if needed) to other university resources. If you want to pursue your education in psychology or work with children and want to expand your knowledge (and learn new skills), I would thoroughly recommend BCU's course; and if you're working alongside studying the part-time course is perfect. read more
