The modules were always varied and got you working in lots of different ways, with lots of different media and it varied between working alone and working in groups. Alot of it is self led which helps you learn how to structure your own projects and not rely on others to do it for you. Lectures were always thought provoking and got you thinking, some good speakers in too. I didn't like the hours as they were so sparse even before the pandemic- 2 days a week if you were lucky which I always found frustrating. Tutors were always helpful and had alot to comment on, but if you are the kind of person who needs telling what to do, this isn't the place as they will expect you to take their advice but make your own conclusions- they do not coddle you and that to me is a good thing!! I think it could definately do with more trips- I only have gone on one and I am nearly finished at Bcu. read more

Textile Design, BA Hons FullTime

If I had the chance I wouldn’t have picked this course at this uni, the opportunities were only given to the same individuals over and over again and the other left on their own. They have complete favourite and that becomes so obvious over the 3 years that the rest of the course don’t feel like they are worthy. Then when it comes to picking people for certain things they always pick the same people and give them multiple chances for things, again leaving the rest behind. It’s really a course like this has became so segregated with who’s the best and who isn’t. I really wouldn’t recommend this course, go somewhere else! read more
