The course has made me dislike media and half the modules don’t relate to media so waste of time and money. Rarely use the filming equipment and don’t go into the studio. The description of the module is misleading and would have studied elsewhere. read more

I had a personal tutor assigned to me at the start of the year but they will never contact you. If you have an issue or question about a piece of work its better to just go to the tutor who assigned it directly as the personal tutor wouldn't know what you are doing. The lessons can be fun and engaging especially when you aren't in class and you are out filming either on campus or in Bath itself. When you aren't filming you are usually sat in a class room listening to a tutor read things off a power-point. The studio. Lesson's in here are exactly the same each week, class split into two groups. One group in gallery the other in studio. Then a switch over. They can get very samey and there isn't much variety. The media industry itself is very reliant on networking and nepotism. If you know someone who works in film or television then it's better to ask them for a job. You need to have exceptional talent, or know someone to succeed. read more
