I would tell my younger self that university life is not just about lectures and assignments — it's about time management, building connections, and staying mentally balanced. As an MSc Computing student at Bangor, I learned that staying organized from the start makes everything easier, especially when deadlines pile up. I would also say: don't hesitate to ask for help — whether it’s your lecturers, classmates, or the university support services. And finally, take time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and student activities — it's part of the experience too! read more

I am a January intake of Advanced Data Science. The student union and departments are friendly and supportive and requests are dealt with fast. There are many places to study at and everything is in a good walking distance, e.g. the furthest schools to villages are less than 35 mins of walking. There are various social events provided for students, most of which are free. My lecturers in School of Computer Science and Engineering are all learned an supportive. They are knowledgeable and are very good at explaining. There are many computers in labs and reading rooms, which can be used to access a good number of applications university provided for students. E.g. Office 366, Onedrive, Jupyter notebooks etc. read more
