My experience at Aston University as an international student pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics has been amazing. The lecturers were excellent, approachable, and supportive, especially during mentoring sessions with Peggy. The workload was manageable, and the teaching, assignments, and tests were well organised. The induction process was smooth, and the university made settling into the UK much easier. I lived at iQ Penworks, just a short walk from campus, making commuting and shopping convenient. My favourite part is the beautiful, spacious campus, especially the peaceful pond area. The university also provides career guidance and graduate opportunities. I genuinely loved my experience and would highly recommend Aston University to international students, particularly those considering a master’s degree. A solid 11/10 from me! read more

There have been many ups and downs, thinking I can’t do it and suddenly I’m in final year, thrown into all this work that I chose and enjoy to do. It has been and continues to be difficult but it will all be worth it. Throughout the time, you’ll gain and lose people and stick to the ones that are best for you, so don’t worry if you’re alone sometimes, it’s better than being lonely in a big group of people who you don’t belong with it. Figure it out but don’t waste time on people who are not worth it. And also don’t leave things till last minute and start work early! read more

The university is an enjoyable place to revise in and spend leisurely time with friends. Despite the building itself looking quite old from the outside, internally it is quite modern, clean and comfortable. There is a lack of quiet study spaces in the building and the available ones can get really busy throughout the week. You can treat yourself to nice amenities at the Aston Lab which has sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold drinks, however keep in mind it is quite pricy. Instead you can buy from the many shops, restaurants and cafes close by; Greggs, Costa, Tesco. There’s a restaurant called food studio which is by far the best option. A big variety of really cheap and tasty meals read more

I won't recommend london campus. Sorry to say it but there are no university clubs available. I am in constant fear to speak with staff in university cuz they are unpredictable. I find courses to be interesting but I learned most of lectures myself with chatgpt, not the professors. Proofs are nice but i don't understand most of the stuff they are teaching. It is not worth it. I regret coming here. I could have just do online or go somewhere else. read more

Aston is generally a very nice, welcoming university. However, there is one major underlying problem: the WiFi. It is very unreliable where the max amount of bars is generally 2, rarely 3 and never 4. read more

I am studying in London Campus. So it's all good in terms of faculties and studies but like it's just me and one more colleague in the Msc Cyber sec Mgmt course so yeah that is what i faced less crowd over London campus this cohort as compared to the Birmingham. The fairs and career fairs are usually taking place in Birmingham as it is the main campus. read more
