1st. Loughborough University

Featuring one of the largest Campus' in Europe, students have rated Loughborough as one of the best universities in the UK for its accommodation options. Most of the halls are on campus or within walking distance of the campus and with all first years being offered university-allocated accommodation and nearly a third of returners living in university-allocated accommodation as well, it is always a lively place to be. There are options to suit all budgets and accommodation preferences. All Halls have a committee which run incredible fresher events and socials throughout the year, so it is easy to make friends and creates an inclusive environment. Furthermore, there is the IMS Hall Sport Tournament, which enables Halls to compete with each other in various sports for the IMS trophy as well as other inter-hall competitions including RAG and Energy Saving. With such a community spirit, students say that Loughborough is a great place to live! Ellie Roberts, Director of Campus Living at Loughborough University, said: “We were delighted that our students have rated our accommodation so highly. We work hard, with our partners UNITE, to provide the best accommodation for our students and it is great that this has been recognised.”

3rd. Bangor University

Bangor University has a great choice of accommodation on campus with students calling it clean, modern and of good quality. Students can choose from en suite and standard accommodation and there are options for varying budgets, furthermore there are Welsh halls that students can choose as well. Halls are located within walking distance to lecture buildings, which makes it easier for getting to the early 9am lectures! With a warden system as well, there is support available for any issues students may have throughout the year and whilst settling in, which students have praised Bangor for. To top it off, Bangor offers incredibly competitive prices, with all utility bills and even gym membership included in the price of accommodation! With even more halls set to be available for 2015 with the opening of the St Mary's Student Village and all clearing students being guaranteed accommodation if they apply within the time frame, students cannot go wrong with choosing Bangor!
