International Relations, BA Hons FullTime

The university does not set you up for success and lecturers very openly play favourites with home students. Ironically, they do not acknowledge international ones. read more

International Relations, BA Hons FullTime

Good course with somewhat interesting modules. None of the lecturers really care about students. Not sure about job prospects because they don't introduce you to anything careers wise. read more

Drama and Theatre / International Relations, BA FullTime

Doing a joint honours degree will make you realise how the theatre department is worse in many ways. Module choice is very limiting, staff are often very difficult. Lots of the modules haven't been changed in years, so all of the provided sources are reaching the end of their relevance. Interpol is generally better! Much more of the staff teaches in their specialty, there's a wider variety of subjects and course formats. A few dull lecturers here and there, but generally very good. Both of my personal tutors are incredible, they're both super friendly and always either able to answer my questions, or point me in the direction of who to ask. read more

Law and International Relations, LLB FullTime

Where Aberystwyth lacks behind the other Universities that lead in this field is the job opportunities post course, with only 55% of Undergraduate students finding work within 18 months after graduating. But don't let that statistic put you off, the staff are phenominal and are leaders in their fields. All offering a wind range of interesting takes on their specific areas. The modules for first years are also very engaging and take you by pleasant surprise. For IR the modules 'Behind the Headlines' and 'Exploring the International' offer both aspects of politics, practical and theoretical in a fresh and interesting way to keep you grasped until you take your first optional module in the second semester. read more
