Discover our best list of campus universities in the UK, according to real student reviews.

We are excited to announce the top 20 best UK universities for campus and facilities, rated by verified students on StudentCrowd!

This year, students have praised universities for their green spaces, high-standard teaching facilities and student life on campus.

What makes a university campus and its facilities amazing for students?

The size and location of university campuses in the UK varies across each institution, making each student experience different. For example, the University of Birmingham (#1)has over 200 buildings across its large campus, while the University of Exeter (#6) is spread over three campuses in Cornwall and Devon.

Some students seek out a university campus which hosts everything they need in one place, whether that is accommodation, sports fields, libraries, shops, clubs or cafes! The Students’ Union building often functions as a central hub on campus - for socialising or studying. Choosing a campus which meets a students’ needs can positively shape their time at university.

What students look for in a campus depends on the individual. For some, being located next to the city centre is essential (check out University College London at #10). For other students, they seek out a beautiful university with nature and a relaxing green environment for studying in (have a look at the University of Nottingham at #16). This variation of positive opinion shows in reviews on StudentCrowd.

Here is what some students had to say about their campus:

Campus with lots of green space, lots of student areas and areas to socialise alongside cafes etc…

...lovely campus, very green and very student friendly. I’d certainly recommend to anyone looking to be close to the city yet still have a campus feel

How was this top 20 ranking list of campus universities UK created?
