There is poor interdepartmental communication, often leading to students bearing the brunt of chasing basic administrative tasks unrelated to study. There are some decent advisors in the SU, but the organization itself is run by disinterested wage stealers who do the bare minimum and often present a barrier to student representation rather than enabling. They largely rely on the students labour to keep the basic functions of the building going, let alone doing any work to act as representatives to out interests. The teaching staff on my course are good and genuinely interested in student development, but face the same institutional barriers as the students. There has been a manjor push to develop the campus resources, however this has been done with little thought to how it would impact the current students. They have reduced the facilities available while massively increasing international student uptake leading to overcrowding and a serious lack of accommodation. read more

Main campus is pretty good and set up in an easy way to get around to where you need to be. Student union is great at organising events! Freshers week is always really good! The art building (I'm an illustration student) could be better. Mouldy in some places, facilities dont always work and the building can seem quite run down. The course itself has been interesting, although not many trip opportunities throughout my time here (I'm third year). Some staff have been very unreliable and don't answer messages/have left for personal issues about four/five months towards the end of the year, causing us to be behind, not have much support with the course or have lecturers who didn't know what we were doing. An okay amount of time in classes, tutorials with tutors are regularly. WiFi doesn't tend to work at all so that makes it harder to do work while in class. Careers part of uni is great and offer some good advice as well as helping you to achieve your goals. Inclusion team is great! read more

Everything about this uni is great, the teaching quality is above and beyond, and the facilities are amazing. the students union is nicely filled with pool tables, consoles, a cost-efficient bar and fresh pizzaria, honestly couldn't get much better! Lecturers and personal tutors are all lovely, and there's plenty of opportunity for careers advice, progression and guidance. The ASK inclusion team are great, too, and there's loads of sports clubs and societies to join! read more

Staff are always so patient and understanding. They have explained what we will be doing throughout the semester and how we will be assessed quite clearly. However, the wifi has generally been good for me over the first two years of my course but this year has been much more difficult maintaining an internet connection on site. read more

The facilities for the allied health department are fantastic, perhaps only surpassed by the team and staff themselves. Every lecturer across the board has a genuine investment in the students, they are friendly and approachable, knowledgeable and very supportive. I cannot compliment them enough, and would recommend anyone considering a degree in the allied health professions to seriously consider Wrexham University. read more
